FAIRY TALE 19: Zackozsa

KHALLIELEYA

First crush.

First night walk.

First trouble.

Those were my first with Arizs when I was staying at the palace after the incident at school. He was very attentive and observant, but most times he goes around and tags me along with him. That dull life became lovely because of him.

But now, it isn't him anymore. My first best friend at school took me to the most extraneous activity. 

First book buddy.

First bad behavior. 

First cutting classes. 

Nagagawa ko ito ngayon na kasama si Eric. I banned myself before about these whimsical stunts. It is an unhealthy and bad influence, but I broke it. I'm here, cutting classes, along the streets of Town Zackozsa. Eric toured me to his favorite spots in town. Pinakilala niya rin ako sa mga kakilala niya roon. We even walk into a bookstore where I almost stayed because I have grown engrossed to the scent and beauty of books.

Pagkatapos ng paglalakad ay nilibre niya ako ng ice cream. It was fun. I enjoy this fun time with him. Like in fairy tales. The male lead will bring his woman to a place where he feels happy and enjoyed the rest of the day; walking, laughing, talking, and eating. Like a date!

Wait... am I experiencing dating?

"Khally?"

"Hmm?" Pagkalingon ko sa kaniya ay dumikit ang kaniyang ice cream sa ilong ko.

"ERIC!"

"Hahahaha!"

"Hindi 'to nakatatawa! Loko ka! Kinakain mo 'yang ice cream mo tapos dinikit mo sa ilong ko—Eric!" I shriek again as the cold ice cream stick to my cheek.

Kumaripas siya ng takbo bago ko pa siya hampasin. Nagsimula naman kaming maghabulan sa bayan. Pinapanuod kami ng mga tao pero hindi naman nila kami sinisita. They smile genuinely or laugh at us.

Hinihingal na ako at hindi ko na siya matawag na prinsipe kaya naman, "Eric!"

Tumigil siya sa kakatawa at pagtakbo. Nanlaki ang mga mata nito nang magtama iyon sa akin. "Ano?"

"Ha... Eric... Wait lang! Hinihingal ako!" Naluhod na ako sa tabi ng eskinita kaya tumakbo siya pabalik sa akin. "Nakaiinis ka! Ang bilis mong tumakbo. Hahahaha!" A sharp pain electrified on my feet and I tripped. "Ouch!"

"KHALLY!?"

"Aww!" Mangiyak-ngiyak kong tinaas ang dulo ng bestida ko para makita ang paa ko. My ankle bruise and turned purple.

"Damn! It's swollen!" Tinanggal niya ang heels ko tapos binuhat sa pagkakaluhod ko sa eskinita. "Ipupunta kita sa pinaka malapit na clinic namin dito, Khally. Wait lang." 

Naglakad ito papunta sa klinikang alam niya. Gayunpaman na mabigat ang aking bestida at gusto siyang tulungan ng mga kababayan niya na buhatin ako, ay tinaggi niya iyon. Siya na lang raw dahil kasalanan nito. I was touched by the gesture that I may have snuggle at his name and grip his shoulders a bit tight.

Nang makarating kami sa klinika ay nagpaalam siyang babalik siya kaya ang isang nars na kasama ko ay ginamot ang paa ko. "Anong ginawa mo?"

"Naghabulan—tumakbo po."

"Tumakbo ka sa ganoong klaseng heels?!" I nod shyly. "Nako! Sa susunod, kung tatakbo ka hindi heels ang suot mo, ha? Dapat sapatos o kaya tsinelas para hindi mapuruhan ang paa mo."

"I-I won't be able to walk anymore?" This is very bad! The nurse stares at me blankly. I got nervous because she was silent the whole minute. "H-hindi na ho ba ako makakalakad?"
