Mattia pov
She wasn't in school today.
I thought maybe she might've been avoiding me, since she wasn't in English and she wasn't in the dining hall or the library. But she just didn't come in.
It's not like her to miss a day of school, and that's how I knew the reason she didn't come in was because of me.
I couldn't imagine the shit she's still going through. She's taking on everything herself and I know it's overbearing for her.
She still had that problem with her mom, and if it weren't for Jasmine fucking things up, I would've been with her, helping her resolve it.
I would've been with her, reassuring her that everything was going to be ok. That Max, Ava and Leo weren't going to go anywhere.

It was lunch and I decided not to sit at the table I usually sit at. I sat a little further away so Jasmine could sit on it with her friends and the other popular people in our school. The boys noticed and they came to sit with me.
I kept glancing at the small table Celeste would sit at, and I imagined her sitting there doing some work or reading a book to herself.
Obviously the whole school knew about what had happened between Jasmine and I. A lot of people were subtly whispering about us and some were less subtle, as I walked past them.
What I hated more was how Jasmine had made herself the victim in all this, and all the blame was going on Celeste. I was painted as a cheater but no one really cared that much about me in this situation.
I saw Jasmine walk into the hall after a while, her friends walking behind her. I've never hated someone so much before in my life, and it's crazy how after all the years I've been with her she's never shown this side of her before.
She really has changed.
She walked past my table and her gaze landed on me. She smiled a little, an innocent one, acting as if she didn't do anything wrong.
" I see she didn't show up today," Jasmine said. A lot of people had noticed she was talking to me so they all came a little closer, to ease drop and listen over our conversation, " I guess the little bitch knows better than to mess with what was mine. Shame you had to ruin what we had," she said to me.
Her friends started laughing and she giggled with them. She started to walk away.
" you know damn well nothing like that happened between her and I," I snapped and I stood up, causing her to stop and look at me.
The hall went quiet.
" mattia-" Robert reached out to calm me down.
" no let him," Kai said to Robert, " he has every right to tell everyone what a liar she is,"
I looked at him appreciatively and turned back to Jasmine.
" why are you doing this? Why did you ruin her life like that?" I asked. I get she was mad at me but Celeste was completely innocent in all this, " I'm the one that broke up with you, she wasn't part of any of this,"
Everyone in the hall broke out in whispers whilst still trying to take in our conversation.
She scoffed, " you didn't break-"
I tutted interrupting her, " I did Jasmine. Stop trying to make yourself look better in all this. I broke up with you. I needed to end things with you, because I didn't love you anymore,"
One of the guys on the soccer team, Jake, who usually sits on our table was standing close by, " please, you're just defending the slut you fucked with,"
