It had been a few days since the diagnostics team had solved Gwyneth's case.

Ethan was still being distant with Blue due to his anger, and Blue could not even do anything about it. While the hospital tried to solicit for high-profile patients, Blue did her best trying to treat as much patients as she could as a resident, as well as help out in the free community clinic as much as she could. She supposed it was her way of dealing with the guilt of changing the principles in which the diagnostics team operated.

The budget crisis was still under way, and many of the residents were already way too exhausted and fed up with being paid less than what they actually worked for.

The group of friends were at Donahue's having their frequent night out together. It was the one thing they were trying to keep normal, and the only outlet for them to truly sit down and unwind.

Blue and Bryce were still a little awkward with each other, especially Blue, after that encounter with him the other day. However, for the sake of not making things even more difficult for everyone, Blue decided to act normally with him and give him the benefit of the doubt that he had just been having a hard day that day.

"So Kyra...how are things looking for our budget?" Jackie asked her. "Not that good to be honest, with the diagnostics team altering to cater to high-profile patients, the strain in that sector has been alleviated a little, but not enough to help the free community clinic nor regular patients in the long run." Kyra replied.

"How long are we talking here?" Blue asked, taking a sip of her club soda. "Five months at most." Kyra answered grimly. "This is horrible." Sienna mumbled, exhausion heavily laced in her tone. Everyone of them were exhausted, frustrated and overworked. It was so frustrating to be working their asses off, and not be paid deservingly. At the same time, they could not really blame anyone either. Everyone was doing their best to cope with the situation.

"Is there something we could initiate? To help boost fundings, like donations probably?" Blue wondered out aloud. "Yeah it is possible, but what can we suggest, like an event?" Kyra asked. "Yeah, like a fundraising event." Bryce replied. "With what theme though? We can't just hold a random fundraising event just because our budget is in a doom." Elijah commented.

The group of friends were silent, as they delved into deep thoughts, trying to think of an idea. Suddenly, loud voices filled their ears. They turned to look at the Karaoke booth, where a group of surgical interns were singing to their heart's content. Some were even singing so horribly that they had to cover their ears. Patrons at the bar were all laughing, even Reggie, as they seem entertained.

"That's it!" Blue exclaimed suddenly, slamming the table. All of them looked at her, confused. "How about a Karaoke Fundraising Gala?" she suggested, her eyes lightening up with excitement. "Oh my god! That's a great idea! We can get the staff to put on performances to huge community holders, especially with all the world renowned doctors that we have, they will feel like we have respect for other communities as well!" Kyra beamed.

"That's great but we need like a MAIN performance in addition to smaller ones." Bryce said. "Oh, like a headliner?" Elijah asked. "Yes. Like the Cherry on top! The performance that will make all the donors be swayed." Bryce replied. "What is the most striking thing about Edenbrook?" Sienna asked.
