"I can't imagine not being able to touch you again for the rest of my life."

"Somebody help!" Leland rushed forward frantically, wheeling in his wife, who was having another attack.
The three doctors immediately rushed forward just as Caroline collapsed out of her wheelchair, with her hands grasping at her neck as she drew in harsh intakes of breaths.
"Quick, find an EpiPen!" Blue called out as she knelt next to Caroline, along with Ethan. Baz nodded, as he ran back into the wards while the two of them tried to calm the patient down. "You're going to be alright, Mrs. Bloom. Just focus on breathing for me, okay?"
"Caroline..." Leland petered out, unable to control his tears nor keep his composure.
Blue and Ethan quickly examined Caroline's body in that brief moment. Her skin was turning a livid red, and a welt was swelling across her forehead. Withing seconds, Baz rushed back again, with an EpiPen in his hand.
"Hold her!" he called out to the other two members, as he drew nearer. As Caroline continued to be wracked by coughs, Blue and Ethan held down her leg, allowing Baz to inject the desperately needed dose of epinephrine...

A few minutes later, Caroline was admitted back into the same patient room again, resting right after the aftershock of the attack that convulsed her earlier.
Leland was pacing outside of her room, stopping just long enough to peer in at his resting wife through the window.
Pain contorted his features as he turned to the three doctors almost accusingly. "I thought you had this under control! She wasn't outside this hospital for thirty seconds!" he exclaimed angrily.
"Her previous attack was under control." Ethan responded calmly. "This is new."
"What's the damn difference?" Leland derided, before pointing at his wife through the window. "She can barely breath, Dr. Ramsey. You said you'd fix this!"
Though she understood how hard this situation must be for Leland, Blue could not help but feel agitated that he was putting the blame on Ethan for this. "Mr. Bloom, we never said that." she told him.
"Like hell you didn't." Leland snapped at her this time, making Ethan furrow his eyebrows, but Blue was able to back herself up.
"We said that your wife has an incurable condition. One that was going to make her prone to attacks." she emphasised again.
"She's gone her whole life with this SlgAD, and yet somehow she's had two of these attacks in a single day!" Leland countered.
Blue nodded, her voice levelled as she replied, "There's obviously something we don't know yet. But we're working on it. In the meantime, we need you to stay calm."
Leland brushed away fresh new tears from his eyes, his tone softening a little. "She's the love of my life. There's nothing more important to me than she is." he said to them.
"We know that." Blue responded sincerely, knowing that feeling first hand. If Ethan was in a similar situation to Caroline, she would be reacting the exact same way. "And I promise, we are doing the best we can for her." she added.
