The next day, Blue woke up early once again.

She was feeling slightly more assured than the day before regarding her decision, and some of the burden on her shoulders seemed to have been taken out as she stretched her arms over her head, letting out a breathy groan when she heard a satisfying crack.

"Stop making those noises..." she heard a deep murmur from next to her.

Smiling, she turned to see Ethan curled into her back, still half asleep. Blue ran her hand through his soft hair, before tilting his head up to press her lips to his temple. "I'm surprised that I'm awake before you are." she said, giggling softly as Ethan pulled her into him sleepily.

"For someone who had gone rockclimbing and even a jog yesterday, you had way too much energy last night." he grumbled, nuzzling his face into her bare chest, his rough beard eliciting a delicate tingle against her soft skin.

After their run, they had headed back to his apartment, and one offer to join him in the shower had led to an hour long shower instead which progressed all the way back to the bedroom. Suffice to say, their plans to cook and eat dinner that evening had been completely thrown out the window.

"You're just getting old." Blue chaffed, before yelping a little when she felt Ethan nip her skin playfully. "Ethan..." she breathed out warningly, when he rolled on top of her. "I...I need to go and talk to Naveen and Leland after that." she managed out.

Ethan huffed, propping himself up on his forearms. "Did you really have to mention the two names that I never want to hear when I'm in bed, naked with you."

Blue laughed loudly, her nose crinkling with amusement, and even Ethan could not resist from joining in her laughter. "Do you really have to go?" he asked, trailing kisses along the side of her cheek.

"I do." Blue rubbed his side gently. "It's Edenbrook, Ethan. If you had a chance to do something about it, even in the slightest possible way, wouldn't you?"

Ethan pulled away to look down at her, a faze of admiration and awe etched onto his features. "I would." he replied after a long moment.

He settled at her side, before helping her up gently. "Alright, go."Blue smiled, leaning down to give him a kiss before making her way up from the bed. Suddenly, she felt Ethan's hand grab her hip as he got up as well, grinning at her boyishly. "Or I could join you in the shower and help you get ready faster."

Blue stepped away from his hold almost immediately, shaking her head with a laugh. "You and I both know after last night, that it is a very a dangerous proposition. I doubt I would be able to get ready any faster." she said, making him chuckle as he laid back against his pillows.

Naveen set down two plates of bacon, eggs and toast onto the dining table, where he had forced Blue to sit down at, the moment she had answered his question if she had breakfast yet.

Blue had told him about the check, the minute she had stepped foot into his penthouse apartment at Beacon Hill, which is the place he stayed in when he did not have a long weekend off, which he used to spend some time in his cabin instead. However just like Ethan, instead of giving her an immediate answer, Naveen had invited her to join him for breakfast first.

"You didn't have to, but thank you Naveen." Blue thanked him, as he set a mug of steaming coffee for her.

"Nonsense, don't thank me." Naveen shook his head with a smile as he settled on the seat across from her. "We need to fill our stomachs if we're going to discuss something that big." he said.
