Dear Friend
"You do everything you can for them. Even if it means prioritizing their quality of life over the fight itself."
____________________________________Blue walked through the hallways, her sneakers squeaking as she trotted along the hallways.
The bliss of her trip to Rio was still apparent even after a few days after they had arrived back at Boston. Both Ethan and her had kept their little adventure to top of The Christ The Redeemer as a secret, and they much preferred it that way. Only for themselves.
Of course, they still had not been able to sit down to talk about the kiss properly, actually both kisses now, but they both knew that when they had time, they would definitely approach that matter. He had promised her on that, and if that trip was any evidence that he was not running away and pushing her away from him again, it just assured her even more that he was not going to do either of those things.
They had been through so much together in that four months he had come back, and the development in their strained relationship that they had at the start of her second year had been getting better.
Blue needed to clock some hours at the community clinic, and her shift was about to start soon anyway, so she decided to get there early to help the other doctors around for a bit.
Suddenly, she heard heavy breathing coming from one of the patient's room, with the monitors beeping with a blarring sound. Blue immediately rushed into the room, to see a man struggling to stay conscious. She immediately neared him to check his pulse detecting an extremely weak one.
"Nurse, we've got a code blue!" Blue called out as she lowered the man's bed to a standard level. The nurse on standby rushed in with a crashcart along with another nurse. Blue looked up for a split-second to lock eyes with one of the nurses, Breyanna, but she quickly focused back onto the task in hand.
"He's in V-fib, I'm going to start compressions." Blue alerted them calmly as she started CPR on the man while the other two nurses made sure that the defribillerator was on standby. When compressions did not work, Blue motioned for the paddles. Sarah, the other nurse handed her the paddles, while Breyanna opened the man's gown to place the pads on his chest and right below his left arm pit.
"Charge to 300...Clear!" Blue called out as she shocked him. She then resumed compressions while Breyanma got on standby just in case they needed the defribillator again. However, after a few seconds, the man's moniors stabled out again and the three women in the room heaved out a sigh of relief.
"Great safe Dr. Hunter! We didn't even need to use Epinephrine." Sarah praised. Blue nodded in thanks before asking, "Who's patient is this?" "Dr. Greene's. Actually his intern's, I'm not too sure." Sarah said looking at the system. Blue frowned at that, she knew Elijah was bailing Sothy out for a lot of the cases, but she did not know it was this bad. "Alright, keep him informed that his patient had gone into V-fib and that he needs to be monitored hourly. Thank you." Blue informed her.
As Sarah nodded and went outside to continue her work, Blue found Breyanna hanging back a little at the door way.
"All okay?" Blue asked as she removed the gloves she was wearing and discarded them into the trashcan. "Yeah..." Breyanna replied but Blue could tell that she wanted to say something but was hesitant to do so, she decided to talk first.
"Hey, Breyanna I just wanted to say...I'm sorry that I am one of the reasons why you and Bryce seperated. Believe me when I say that I had no intention of that happening at all." Blue told the nurse as they both stepped out of the patient's room and into the hallway.
