Hikaru's Pov

We were up late training together, instead of it being mostly the older four training Lloyd, they included me and Sora more as we needed more practice together. We were so tired last night that we just walked into the first room we saw, which ended up being the room the older four ninjas stayed in. Lloyd didn't feel like going to his room even though it was next door and just went to the extra bed that was left in here from when he was younger before he got his own room. Me and Sora bunked with them, myself bunking with Lloyd on the spare bed while Sora managed to get Cole to let him share his bed. We each had a side of the bed to ourselves, but me and Lloyd didn't really mind sharing, we still only had the minds of a child after all, although we did mature a little since the incident.

Soon our slumber was interrupted by a loud noise, which was called the alarm clock. I whined and tried to cover my face, burying it into Lloyd's shoulder, but not long after that, I heard two thuds and the alarm clock for some reason got louder. I covered my ears as I sat up, looking at Lloyd and watched as he destroyed it with his energy. I blinked slowly as I looked around the room, seeing Jay and Sora on the ground by Cole's bed while Zane was just now waking up. How was he immune to the sound until it was broken? Oh right, he's a nindroid so it probably didn't really bother him but so much.

I watched as the others slowly stood up and complained about it being Wednesday- which meant sunrise exercise. I still refused to get up as I was still trying to wake up fully. Sora seemed to be in the same condition as me. When we stay up late, we typically find it hard to wake up- or become fully awake in the morning no matter how much sleep we try to get. Just as the others were about to get ready, Sensei Wu walked in as chipper as ever. "Good morning, morning, morning! Up, up! It's a new day, students!" Lloyd pulled me up and out of the bed as I muttered curses mostly to myself, not wanting to get up. Jay and Cole did the same with Sora although he was quickly becoming more awake than I was at the moment. Although I became a bit more awake when Sensei opened the blinds.

"Before we begin sunrise exercise...I noticed the dragon made another mess outside. It looks like a two-person job." He added as he chuckled, walking out of the room. I saw the others about to make up excuses to leave it to me, Sora or Lloyd but I rolled my eyes as I made my way to the door, turning to them. "Don't put this on any of us unless you properly decide on who's turn it is to do it- be the mature young adults that you are, guys." I told them as I soon walked out. Right before I entered my room, I felt a hand on my shoulder, turning to see Lloyd and Sora standing there with grins. "You know, sometimes I think you're older than you actually are." Sora told me with a chuckle. I rolled my eyes but smiled at them. "Come on, let's just go ahead and get ready so we can go out and train."

It wasn't long after we had all gotten ready that the alarm went off, Nya running out just as we ran out onto the deck. "Hey! I have a mission for you guys!" Once we all stopped running, she continued. "It's the Museum of History! They've asked for you guys! Something really strange has happened." She explained, causing Kai to ask. "What?" She shook her head and pointed out towards the museum. "You're gonna have to see it to believe it." We all glanced at each other and nodded as we threw our hoods on, jumping off the bounty and ran to the museum seeing as we weren't that far away from it. Sensei Wu even decided to join us for this mission too.

The moment we got inside, the owner had turned towards us, seemingly lighting up as he saw us. "Oh, thank heavens you're here!" He exclaimed as we walked over to him, Sensei Wu asking. "We heard there was an emergency?" The owner frowned and motioned for us to follow him as he started walking. "Yes, come, come. Quickly, this way." He spoke, leading us to another door that we walked through as he started explaining. "The Stone Warrior exhibit opens to the public tonight and this couldn't have come at a worse time.." He trails off, causing us to grow confused. We looked to our right to see two workers mopping up some ooze that looks oddly familiar. Sora frowned and asked. "What couldn't have come at a worse time?" We nodded as agreement to the question, all curious. The owner let out a sigh before he turned to us. "Ninjago City appreciates your help in destroying the Great Devourer some time back, but it appears its toxic venom has seeped into the city's sewer system and has had the most unusual after-effect." He explained to us as we walked past the two workers. Oh that's what that ooze was, the Great Devourer's venom. The moment we were even close to them however, we could smell the odor it was releasing and it was terrible. We all covered our noses and walked past it, everyone having their own little remark about how it stinks.
