Hikaru's Pov

____________

It had been a short month since the events with Chen were done and over with. Sensei Wu had decided he would try to start his retirement by opening a tea shop called Steep Wisdom. It fit him considering how much he loved tea, so I didn't see how this would be a bad idea. Ever since the events with Chen, I had to practically beg Sensei Wu to continue my training at least so I could help him as a Sensei. I was nowhere near becoming a Sensei, especially with how young I was, but I wanted to help out as much as I could, and considering how I now had my mother's memories, I was much wiser than I looked. That was a factor in why he even agreed to do so. He had questioned what knowledge I did know since getting her memories and I had to meditate for about maybe 4 days straight to go through them all. Since she was about twice, maybe even three times my age, it was a lot of memories to go through.

Once I had finished doing that, of course I had to have time to get my energy back up after skipping meals for so long, so I took 3 days of rest for that before I went back to Sensei Wu to ask him about becoming a Sensei once again. He had made sure I was ready more mentally and had prepared myself more than anything before he would train me, but luckily I just barely managed to pass his criteria. To be honest, it had me excited to become a Sensei, even a Sensei in training was enough to get me excited. After that, he would have me meditate at least for an hour a day, even though I was used to it. The more I meditated, the more I felt in tune I felt with myself, or in this case, my soul. I was accepting who I was, and was getting better for myself in the long run.

During that time as well, my voice had gradually deepened just a tad more, meaning...I hit puberty before Lloyd! Hah! Take that, green! It wasn't what I would say is the finished result, but it was enough to have me excited enough to tease Lloyd about it. Once everyone else had picked up on it even, they started to tease Lloyd, wondering who the older one out of the two of us really was. Speaking of which, my birthday had passed right before the tournament meaning...Lloyd's birthday was soon! Speaking of Lloyd, he and the other boys had gone to help a village with a fish problem I believe they said it was? I was currently outside by the waterfall. I was meditating on one of the rocks in the middle of the water as I was collecting my thoughts. But before I could get any further, I heard very light footsteps. I opened my eyes to see Nya just making the turn at the corner to head over here. She smiled at me as I stood up and jumped over the water to get back on land. "The museum called about a break-in. They asked for Lloyd, but since he's out, Misako said you can go in his place. They were reluctant, but I wonder why they wanted him specifically." She told me, causing me to raise an eyebrow. A break-in at the museum? But only wanted Lloyd to go? I shook my head with a sigh. "Thank you for telling me. I'll be on my way." I said with a small smile. I gave her a quick hug before running inside to bid farewell to Misako and Sensei Wu. Misako smiled when I hugged her and joked. "I'm sure Lloyd would be embarrassed if I asked him to do this, but could I have a kiss on the cheek before you go? You are my future son-in-law." She grinned. I couldn't help but blush as she said that, but still did so. I didn't really have a problem with showing affection. I grinned when I thought of something. "When Lloyd comes back then has to leave for some reason or if Sensei Wu puts them to work— knowing him— see if he'll give you a kiss. If not, tell him that I did, and that if he doesn't then I won't kiss him until he does." She laughed and nodded. "I will. Be careful." She told me. I nodded as I ran out.
