Chapter Thirty-Two

I'm so sorry that it took a month to update, but there's so much going on irl!!

But sadly, I'm just gonna have to update slowly if I can't update right away, so without further ado, here's the new chapter!

Hikaru's Pov

I nodded at that and looked at Sensei Wu who instructed. "Zane, keep them busy." I heard Kai grunt as he tried to say something, but the anacondrai he was fighting with had thrown him off his back. I shook my head as we looked to Jay who was stuck in the other's tail, but shouted. "Get out of here, already! It's not like we can hold them off all day!" That was when Zane decided to slide in- literally- and help his brother, but ended up being thrown by the other anacondrai. At the same moment, we heard the alarms go off. My eyes widened as Sensei Garmadon exclaimed. "Kryptarium's on lockdown!" And with that, myself, Lloyd and our Senseis had took off towards the closing doors. "If we don't find a way out, we may never escape." Sensei Garmadon said as we just barely managed to make it through the entrance before the door came down at where we were just standing.

"Oh, some heroes you are. And to think there's only two of them." Pythor complained, causing me to raise an eyebrow at him. I ignored him for a moment as I followed Lloyd and jumped over the spikes, Sensei Wu using Sensei Garmadon's tail to help him over. Sensei Wu hit the button on the wall next to us which stopped the spikes that were supposed to stop us. At the same moment, Lloyd caught Pythor when his father had thrown him over to us, letting out a scream. "Sensei Wu said the greatest victory--" Lloyd was interrupted by Pythor who said. "Has no battle, blah, blah, blah. Well, if they're imposters, you're cowards." He continued as we ran through the fire that was coming out of the ceiling and ground. I'm surprised that we even made it through without getting some sort of damage done to us.

Sensei Wu had enough of this as he turned around and asked. "And what are you? There's a reason we never trust a snake." He told him as he slowed down to a stop, throwing his hat through the spike balls that were in front of us. I wasn't gonna even ask how it managed to make it through and hit the button. "First the anacondrai betray the truce in the Serpentine War. Then you tricked Lloyd." Sensei Wu started listing off as he grabbed his hat again as we continued to run. Hearing those things made me frown and look at Lloyd and Pythor, the snake getting a little mad at the mention of the war. "Are we still talking about the Serpentine War?? The anacondrai had every intention of honoring the truce. It was Chen who told us your kind was going to betray us. We had no other choice but to attack." He explained. I had decided to stay silent in all of this as I had only been told stories of these events and my mother never participated in the war as she was pregnant with me at the time and well, had travelled through time to get here.

I glanced at Sensei Garmadon as he used his tail to go through the lasers that were really close, just barely having enough room for his tail to slip through so he could press the button across from us. "Chen said you were going to betray us." Sensei Garmadon seethed as we ran through this one trap that had both sides of the room closing in on us repeatedly. If it wasn't for Sensei Wu having his staff and giving us a small opening to pass through, we wouldn't have made it unless I had used my powers. I felt like I was just extra weight as I wasn't saying or doing anything but running with them at the moment. I want to help them. Not just be a bystander. "Ugh. Sounds like Chen was playing both sides." Lloyd groaned as we slipped through the last closing door.
