Hikaru's Pov
I was just...confused as to why Mr. Borg was trying to tell us we needed to use a diet pill to help defeat the Golden Master. How would this help us? As if noticing the look on my face, Sensei Garmadon stepped forward and looked at us all before turning to Mr. Borg. "Wait until you are old, you'll see why it's so important." He told us before grabbing Mr. Borg's arms as he asked. "Tell me Borg, does it work?" Was he being serious? Was he actually wanting to know if this so-called diet pill worked? I let out a sigh as I shook my head, watching them. Mr. Borg frowned and shook his head. "No, but the nanotechnology inside has an adverse effect." He started as he pulled away from Sensei Garmadon and looked at us all, continuing his explanation. "It not only shrinks your waistline, but miniaturizes you as well." Wait what? Zane stepped forward as he asked. "You've made a shrinking pill?" Kai frowned as he also stepped forward as he said. "Let me get this straight. You want us to get close to this guy, who has armor that with the mere touch, would make us toast, and you want us to give him a pill?" There wasn't even a silent second in between when Mr. Borg grinned and said. "Precisely!" You have got to be kidding me.
"Brother, do you remember when both of us were on the same team?" Sensei Garmadon asked as he walked over to his brother. Jay frowned as he walked towards them. "Uh, hey, yeah- old timers, mind paying attention? We're trying to save the world here!" He exclaimed. I frowned at Jay as he interrupted the two and assumed they weren't paying attention. When were they not? "You're right, brother. On the playground when we were kids. Templegate Tigers." Sensei Wu smiled, earning a smile from Sensei Garmadon who stood in front of him now. "Ha, I threw a mean curve ball, and your stick could thread the needle. We never lost." I couldn't help but smile a little at their interaction. Sensei Wu smiled and turned towards us. "So true. Get us close, ninja and we'll give the Golden Master his medicine."
I couldn't help but let out a shaky breath as I stepped forward, drawing attention to myself. "Hikaru?" Sora asked, confused as to why I was suddenly nervous. I frowned and looked at our Senseis and said. "If a distraction is all you need- I can provide just that." I saw Cole step forward and narrow his eyes at me. "Hikaru what are you talking about?" The others nodded in confusion. I just gave them a weak smile. "There's just something I need to ask him- he knew my mother." That caused their eyes to widen as they looked among each other. Our Senseis were even in shock as I had never mentioned her much. I looked to our Senseis and gave them a small smile. "My mother was Aiko...does the name sound familiar?" It was as if the name caused them to freeze at the same moment, because they both refused to answer it was like. I lowered my gaze as I said. "As I thought...but please-- let me do this." I insisted as I looked at them. Both Senseis were a tad uneasy about the whole matter, but Sensei Wu let out a sigh. "We will allow this, just this one time Hikaru- but please be careful. The others will provide you backup if needed, understood?" He asked, to which I nodded. As we gave one another a look, we started our plan, although everyone was unsure about letting me be by myself for a few minutes with the Golden Master.
To give the boys a distraction, I had left much sooner than them without the armor they were starting to gather. I didn't care. I should be fine if I used my powers. I could just float around or even just cover myself in aether so maybe it would protect me at least some. When I had arrived at the center of town- where Borg Industries were- I could clearly see the Golden Master in a giant golden web that he had just formed. I frowned and quickly covered myself in aether to protect me from the golden powers and jumped one by one over the web and to the Golden Master. He was clearly confused and surprised that I was here, but continued to glare at me. He had swung at me and tried to hit me- but I jumped out of the way just in time. Glaring at him, I continued to dodge another minute or two before I used my aether to make him stop. This just angered him more.
