Chapter Eighteen

Hikaru's Pov

The moment we had been picked up, Lloyd had gotten the others to take all of us to the Dark Island. I was a bit confused by this, but he quickly explained it to me- saying how it feels like we're alone and he wants the others to be able to help us as much as possible- so he was going to help them with that. Well, if things go according to plan. As we walked inside the Temple of Light, a thought came to my mind. I frowned and looked over at Cole and said. "Hey Cole? After all of this is over with...um we need to talk- with dad included." Hearing that from me caused Cole to grow confused, but he slowly nodded. He had his own frown on his face as he looked worried- I just brushed it off as me and Lloyd were just having our powers drained by the Overlord and that was probably all it was. I knew they were worried about us, but we had a fight to finish.

Me and Sora stood off to the side as the other five got into place. Lloyd in the center- right under the bell- while the other four were at a column on all for points around him. "I can't do this alone anymore." Lloyd started, earning a glance from me as he continued. "Hikaru's already done his part with severing the link to his silver powers-," He paused again, earning shocked looks from the others. We hadn't told them about how I had served the link to my powers. It still hurt a lot, but the pain was no longer there- I didn't want to tell them about it as I was trying to 'rest' and gather what energy I could. Lloyd let out a sigh. "But now as long as I have all of this power, they'll never stop coming for me- they might still come after Hikaru even." I looked down at the ground as I heard that. I just wish the Overlord wasn't here..

Zane caught our attention, causing me to look up at our nindroid friend. "From here on out, we can't let anything separate us again." Just that one sentence caused all of the others- even Sora- to agree with him. Sora set a hand on my shoulder as we both had small smiles, watching as Lloyd focused and sent his power up into the bell- causing it to ring. The golden-green light was bright as we stood there and watched for a solid minute before we saw four different colors of light get shot into the four ninjas at his side. Me and Sora soon grinned as we watched all four of them test out their powers, having smiles of their own on their faces. Zane smiled as he looked at all of us. "The elemental power, it's inside us." I laughed as I watched the older four males joke around as they played around with their new powers, making their own puns as they did so.

I shook my head as I walked over to Lloyd and grabbed his hand, lacing our fingers together as we watched them. I felt him squeeze my hand, making me glance at him- seeing the smile on his face as he looked at me before we went back to looking at the others. It was nice to see them with their own powers- they would definitely have more fun with that. They could really get in the fight more than ever now. I blinked in confusion when I felt a nudge from my right, causing me to turn to see Sora smirking at me. I raised an eyebrow at him- about to ask him what he did that for- only to see Jay come up beside him. This isn't good. Sora is one thing with the teasing but if Jay joins in- we wouldn't hear the end of it. They both made kissing faces while pointing at me and Lloyd- and boy was I glad Lloyd wasn't looking because my face had turned red. "Heju!!!" I exclaimed as I let go of Lloyd's hand- running after the two as they laughed, running away from me.

The others were confused with this interaction as my face was still red, having no idea what had happened- but soon did. "Hikaru and Llo--" Jay started, only to be cut off by me as I tackled him to the ground. "Hikaru and Lloyd sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!!" Sora then shouted, making me let go of Jay as I glared at Sora, the latter being closer to the ceiling thanks to his wind. I hated that his element was wind sometimes. He could just float around wherever he wanted to. "Sora get down here!" I shouted, but soon froze when I felt an arm get wrapped around my shoulder. I looked behind me to see Lloyd with a blush on his face as well. We never actually...confirmed what we were. Yeah we kissed but- we didn't confirm if we were even dating or anything. On one hand I felt like we were rushing it, but at the same time it didn't feel like it. I just didn't want to push Lloyd. I don't want to make him uncomfortable or do something he doesn't want to do.
