Chapter Nine

Hikaru's Pov

It was the next day before we even landed on the Dark Island, and even after that, we spent the day looking out for the stone army and trying to hide the Bounty, well, the others did anyway. Misako had asked to speak with me about the ancient language to learn more about it that she could, Zane's father joined as he was rather curious about it as well once he found out that I knew of it, even Lloyd joined in. "A few days ago, you repeated what the stone warrior had said and told us the meaning without even knowing much of it, correct?" Misako asked, to which I nodded as I explained. "I didn't understand how I knew the language, just knew that I understood it. The giant stone warrior we met days ago had said "Duul dun shun re ele." and if I translated it correctly, it translates into "The Dark Master will rise." He kept repeating it over and over as if it was the only thing he knew or he wanted to get that sentence through to us."

Zane's father hummed as he leaned forward to look at me. "Tell me..is that all you know? Or what other words or sentences could you understand?" I looked at him and smiled. "It may not look like it, but I didn't know much at the time, but I know a bit more now actually. But what would you like to know?" I asked, only to have Lloyd walk over to me and whisper something into my ear instead. "Can you say "The green ninja is the best ninja" in the ancient language?" Of course he would joke around with something like that or just wanted to know what it was, but instead of telling him that, I said something else. "Oj canix, gou'daz kak li jesa ginevana kiloe yeras, Lloyd. Gui nen, re grened jinai jeo nean rei tesf jinai." I started, looking over at him as he grew confused at what I said. I let out a sigh and turned away as I spoke softer. "Wevears, re grened jinai jeo quithoi rei mufy citresai jinai.."

I heard someone make an 'oh' and I looked up to see Misako giving me a look as if knowing what I said. I raised an eyebrow before she asked. "By the tone of your voice and how you looked away for the second half of your sentences...I think I have an idea on what you just said right there. Meaning, we should probably talk about some things." She gave me a smirk and I couldn't help but stare at her in disbelief before I felt my face grow warm. Yep, she did have an idea alright or maybe she was just trying to get a reaction out of me. I covered my face and slammed my head on the table, almost shouting into my hands. "Fugach!" I heard Misako giggle despite not exactly knowing what I said just as Lloyd asked. "I didn't even understand your sentences earlier...but what did the word you said just then mean?" God he's so innocent whether he thinks it or not. I sat up straight and pointed a finger at him. "Don't repeat it!" He raised his hands up in a surrender motion and nodded. "Okay, okay!" I heard someone laughing and turned to see Sora laughing at my flustered appearance, Emara and Anna just smiling at us as I walked over to them, but pointed at Sora. "Fugach ojo, Sora!" I started, turning away from them as I crossed my arms. "Not a word." I muttered, watching as the others walked in with Sensei Wu as they started gathering at the table.

Misako took out one of the scrolls from before and unrolled it as she spoke. "The Scrolls say there is a hidden temple on the island. If you find it, it will give the ninja pure elemental powers, powers that can destroy the indestructible army." I couldn't help but smile at that, but it was probably more directed towards 'the four protectors' which would be my brother, Zane, Jay and Kai. I looked at my brother as he laughed. "So you're saying we get to fight? Ooh! I've got happy feet!" I almost thought he was gonna actually jump and start dancing but he didn't. Misako looked at her son and smiled. "And you, my son, here it is written: "For once the Green Ninja finds the instrument of peace, he will strike it and know the power of the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master."" I couldn't help but look at Lloyd and see the look he had. "Ultimate Spinjitzu Master?" He asked, causing Misako to continue explaining. "It means you will be able to invoke the power of the Golden Dragon, an ancient fighting style only practiced by the first Spinjitzu Master."
