Beginning Of Season Four

Hikaru's Pov

After the events of the Golden Master, everyone had gone their separate ways- despite sensei Wu's protests. We all had a day together to at least talk and enjoy each other's company. I was saddened by this greatly- just barely getting enough time to explain to the others what I had known of my own relation to the Golden Master and everything I knew about my mother, Aiko. There wasn't really much I could do about it, seeing as she had slowly stopped training me after those events of me finding out what their connection was.

I still stayed with Cole and...my adoptive father- Mr. Brookstone- but even then I didn't see them much as I started going to school again to at least continue some education. Everything has calmed down since then and it's been about a year. With all the training I've done whether with my mother or not, those markings that would appear when I performed a spell had become permanent on my arms. They looked like tattoos to ordinary people and when you think about it- they were. Cole and Mr. Brookstone never saw them as I always wore long sleeves, a hoodie or even wrapped my arm up in bandages. Some people had questioned me on it, but I just brushed them off.

I was currently with Sora, Emara and Annalise in the school's cafeteria and I refused to eat as I wasn't hungry. They picked up on it almost immediately as Emara asked. "Hikaru? Aren't you gonna eat?" I shook my head and looked towards another table where I saw some of the other students there giving us a look. "Not with them around." I said as I turned back to them with a frown. "They keep giving us these looks and Isaac thinks it's best to flirt with me until I agree to date him. Gross." They frowned at me, but understood what I meant. It was odd as suddenly some ninjas started going to school there and two elemental masters who knew them somewhat. No one liked being the outcast- yet here they were- being the outcast as they were just trying to go to school.

"At least it's not Felix. He's the one flirting with Emara." Anna growled. Emara sent the shorter girl a small smile as she set her hand on her shoulder. "Alise, please calm down- I don't want you causing another scene." Emara told her, which caused me and Sora to raise an eyebrow. "Another?" He asked in confusion. Emara let out a sigh as she turned to us, holding Anna's hand to calm her girlfriend down hopefully. Yeah, some time after the Golden Master was defeated- they had gotten together and didn't inform us until the first day of school when they walked in holding hands. They were complete opposites, but Anna just said that she liked Emara for that while Emara would just tell us how that means maybe they can rub off on each other a little. Meaning maybe Emara wouldn't be so...strict? Is that the right word? And then maybe Anna would be a bit more calmer- but with her animal instincts it was kinda hard to.

"Felix cornered me at my locker one day- not knowing I was dating Alise- and tried asking me out on a date just because of my looks. Apparently he thinks I'm some rich white girl with how I dress and he just wants to get in my pants so he can steal my money." Emara rolled her eyes, causing mine and Sora's mouth to fall agap. We had never heard Emara speak this way as she always tried to remain more 'ladylike' and this wasn't like her at all. Anna let out a laugh as she wrapped an arm around Emara's shoulder and pulled her closer. "You just like dressing more formally. Is it the crystals you put in your hair what makes them also think that?" She asked, running a hand through Emara's hair as she took some of the said crystals out. She still had that habit of making small crystals and pinning them to her outfits and hair whenever she was bored. Speaking of which- Emara had taken all of the dye out of her hair more recently and let her hair be natural- meaning her hair was a deep auburn shade and it looked great on her if I was being honest. Which made them a bit more opposite as Emara's hair was a dark shade while Anna's was a lighter shade. They were kinda cute together in my opinion.
