Chapter Twenty

Hikaru's Pov

My vision had gone black for what I could only assume to be a few minutes. When it came back, we were on the comet's surface. I groaned as I sat up, noticing the others a couple of feet around me. "Everyone okay?" I asked, stumbling to my feet as I heard Jay shout. "We survived!" Before trying to kiss the ground, but of course couldn't due to his helmet. I shook my head as we ran to Lloyd's side as he tried reaching the others. "Nya, are you there? Dad? Wu? Anyone??" I frowned when we didn't receive any reply. Kai shook his head as he started walking ahead. "Maybe the others didn't make it." I didn't want to jinx us so I stayed silent and followed him in the direction of the ship.

Once we got inside however, we found no one. Absolutely no one. Not even one nindroid was here. That must've meant that we were out for a few minutes at least, giving them a head-start to finding the Golden Weapons. I frowned as we made it to the cockpit, Zane said. "They're all gone." We all started to spread out as we looked around. "They must have left for the weapons." Cole said while Jay exclaimed. "Let's take the ship before they get back!" As he ran to the front where the launch key would've been, only to find it missing. Kai raised an eyebrow as he sat in what I believe was the captain's chair. "Are you telling me this entire ship starts up with a simple little key?"

Cole didn't seem to want to hear it as he ran to the front to where Jay was, saying. "Come on, tell me one of you knows how to hot-wire this thing!" I shook my head with a frown before looking behind me when I heard Lloyd say. "Hey, guys! Come and see this!" I didn't even realize he wasn't with us in the cockpit. I shook it off as we all ran after him to see what he had found. Once we were in a large room, that was when I noticed what was left in here. My eyes widened as a smile started to spread across my face. "They took lunar rovers. Looks like they left tracks to follow." I grinned as I looked over to Lloyd and hugged him tightly. I'm so glad he found this.

Okay I take it back. Yes, we have a ride, but now we were all crammed inside the lunar rover trying to follow the nindroids. I wanted to just sit on the top and ride, but Lloyd and Cole refused to let me. "Ugh! Move your gas tank! I can't see!" Jay exclaimed as he struggled to see over Cole's head. Kai groaned as he said. "Your blaster is in my rib!" Jay gave him a look as he said. "That's not a blaster, that's my leg!" I shook my head as I looked at Lloyd, hearing Cole add. "Zane, you're squeezing my arm!" Zane quickly apologized as he heard that, being the one that was driving. "I thought that was the accelerator." We all let out shouts and groans as the road was extremely bumpy and we kept hitting each other as a result of that. When will this end? Just as I said that, we saw a light coming from a cave ahead of us.

"This must be where the Golden Weapons landed." Kai said as Zane skidded to a stop, parking the lunar rover. We got out and walked inside to find a gigantic cave. It was probably about 500 feet tall once at the bottom. It made me feel like an ant when I looked around at how massive this cave was. We hid behind some rocks as we watched the nindroids, seeing the golden weapons in a ball, combined together and shining bright. "There's the weapons." Cole said as we looked. Kai then pointed to Cryptor, who had the key around his neck. "And there's the key." How are we going to get both? We need the key to get off this rock and we need the golden weapons, well- we need to keep them away from the golden weapons.

"Shiny..." I vaguely heard a nindroid say. I raised an eyebrow when I heard them. I didn't even know these nindroids- other than Cryptor- could speak. Cryptor showed worry- well what I could assume was his worry- as the nindroid reached out to touch the weapons with his bare hands. "No don't!" He was too late however as the nindroid touched the weapons, and not a second later- he disintegrated. Myself, along with the others and the nindroids were in shock at what just happened, seeing that one nindroid no longer there and not even a trace of him was left. Is that what happens when someone tries to wield them all? Would that happen to us too if we tried to physically touch them?
