Hikaru's Pov

It had been a couple of weeks since the defeat of the Overlord and while Kai, Jay, Zane and Cole were being teachers at what used to be Darkley's School For Bad/Worse Boys became Sensei's Academy, I decided to help out Lloyd's father as his apprentice. I was wearing a similar attire to what he had worn but of course was not exact and did not have the title of Sensei, but the children still treated me as one. Believe it or not, but being away from technology was actually great. Nature was great. I mean I liked technology just as much as the next person, but currently I was pretty content with where we were at now.

Misako and Sensei Garmadon had helped me learn much more about my powers even though it was mostly through scrolls or personal experience in Sensei's case. I mean really it was things I had already figured out after time, but it was welcoming that someone had known of my powers and how to help me understand more if I didn't know much, but what concerned me more was something Sensei Garmadon pointed out, Misako even agreeing. My power of aether..is basically like life force, essence. The thing was..my powers are actually tied to my life. If I lost my powers or drained myself too much, I could potentially die. That actually explained a lot. Like the time when I was healing others and myself too much, such as around the final battle with Lloyd and the Overlord, I had ended up passing out when I finally gave myself a break from healing. I had basically overused my powers that time. It scared me to hear that knowing that if someone were to somehow get technology to steal one's powers...then I could potentially- well most likely- die without them.

At the moment I was sitting under a tree out in the yard for some shade while I watched some of the kids play with a ball, kicking it to the other to pass the time. Sensei Garmadon had been out for a bit, I had forgotten what he had gone out for, but until he got back or until Misako got back, I was technically in charge. The kids were laughing amongst themselves as one said. "Oh! Pass the ball to me! Yeah!" Before it was kicked out of their odd circle and started rolling towards the entrance where I noticed the others entering along with Lloyd, Misako and Nya, but Zane was nowhere to be seen.

I smiled as I watched the kids immediately run over to them, and past my brother, Jay and Kai to see Lloyd. It caused me to laugh as I stood up from my spot and walked over to them. Eventually the kids noticed the other three and started talking and interacting with them, which I couldn't help but smile more at. I noticed Lloyd looking in my direction which made me roll my eyes as I walked over to him and smile. "I was starting to wonder when you'd come back. You've been out for who knows how long. Your parents were starting to wonder." I told him, causing him to laugh and scratch the back of his neck. "Well...we have a bit of catching up to do. But I'll explain later." He told me, to which I nodded, noticing the different outfits, which he gave me one that was purple instead of green of course.

It was odd to see a different gi, and to actually be given one since it had been a while, but I suppose that meant we had to get into action again. I missed it, but at the same time I didn't. Everything was peaceful, but too peaceful. I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Lloyd reach out to me and twirled a strand of my hair. It had gotten a tad longer since I haven't paid it much attention to it ever since we met, it was now about as long as Cole's or maybe a tad longer. I personally didn't mind it, but it was to the point I could probably make a tiny ponytail with it.
