Hikaru's Pov

It had barely been a few minutes since the rocket ship had left the atmosphere and the gravity soon left us as we started to float. Everyone was swinging their arms and legs around as they tried to control where they were going, but the only one who appeared content in all of this- who also had actual control somehow- was Jay. I pushed myself off of what I could only assume to be the wall, as I was getting too close to it and I had almost hit Kai. I turned towards Jay to see him 'swimming' on his back as he exclaimed with a wide grin. "Is this the greatest thing ever or what?" Kai raised an eyebrow at him. "Where are you? We're trapped in space and you-- where did you go?" Kai asked in confusion.

I shook my head as I floated over to Lloyd and grabbed his hands, trying to steady the both of us as we listened to Jay, watching as he slowly spun in a circle with his side facing us. "Guys, we're in space! I thought this is stuff only Fritz Donnegan gets to enjoy!" Lloyd somehow lost balance again and dragged me with him as he floated closer to the wall. I let out a sigh as I tried to give us balance again. "Fritz is from a comic book, dude!" I nodded as I looked over to Jay as we bounced off the wall. "This is real!" Jay seemed to ignore us as he exclaimed. "Well, you got me hooked on the character! Would you lighten up and not step on my dreams of being a real Starfarer just yet?" I sighed and finally decided to use my powers to try and keep us still, but it barely seemed to work as the gravity around us didn't exactly help me with control. I hate space officially. The gravity was too much for me to try and control my aether around it.

Lloyd let out a sigh as he finally stopped floating upside down. "We have to find a way to take control of the ship. If they get the Golden Weapons back to the Overlord...Ninjago doesn't stand much of a chance!" I nodded and let out a yelp as Kai bumped into us both, causing me to lose focus and let go of Lloyd, the two of us floating away and more towards the wall. Thanks Kai. The said ninja just rubbed his head where he hit us as he said. "There's no access to the rest of the ship. Only way out is through the same air lock we came in." Kai don't say that please. Zane got our attention next as he spoke up. "And if my memory banks serve correct, space has a way of taking one's breath away- in the negative sense." Zane don't say that. That just means we're trapped.

I let out a sigh as all of us continued to try and steady ourselves as Zane floated over to some keyboard and pulled up what appeared to be a timer. "Enjoy it while you can, Jay...because in five minutes, the entire ship is scheduled to lighten up. The supplemental boosters are set to detach." Sora gave Zane a confused look as he asked. "Um, Zane. The rest of us don't speak astronaut. What does that mean?" I nodded as I just barely managed to steady myself for a minute before I was hit out of the way by Cole. I glared at him before frowning as I remembered that I told him we needed to talk with dad after this. Just thinking about it had my anxiety through the roof. I didn't know how they would react, if they'd believe me or just ignore it completely. I was brought out of my thoughts when Zane said. "The portion of the ship we are currently stationed will soon detach...and we will be abandoned in space with it."

Soon the screen had started glitching and what appeared instead was our Senseis, Nya and Pixal. I smiled when I saw them and floated over to Lloyd, bringing him over to the screen the best I could. It was as if the gravity around us didn't seem to agree with him as it refused to let him stay still- or maybe it was just him who couldn't figure it out. He sent me a small smile as I nodded back at him, not saying anything as we looked at the screen, hearing Nya's voice. "Hello? Kai? Anyone? Can you read me?" We all couldn't help but smile as we heard her voice, it was a nice thing after all of this to know they were still safe. Kai especially had a wide grin on his face as he replied to his sister. "We read you loud and clear!" We could hear how excited they were to know we were alive and safe, Sensei even adding. "Good to hear you, boys. We're going to help you get home safe." We all couldn't help the smile that grew on our faces. We had help from home. Maybe it's not so bad being in space.
