Chapter Thirty-Five

Work got hectic again, so here's a (really) short chapter for now! Sorry!

Sora's Pov

 This wasn't good at all. And what about Hikaru? Did anyone not notice him not here at all? I frowned as I watched Kai step forward as if he heard my thoughts. "Whoever you are, whatever beef you have with Sensei, you have with us. Give us back our friend! And where is Hikaru?? The one that was with him!" We all watched as the man in front of us started laughing as he cracked his neck. Okay this is just getting weird. It was already weird enough just hearing this voice coming from Lloyd, but seeing these actions come from him as well? It didn't sit well with me. "How are we supposed to fight a friend?" Cole asked, and just as the one across from us heard that, he reacted. Lloyd's blonde hair had turned black and his pale skin had turned green. "Let me show you!" He ran forward before launching himself up into the air. So he's-- he's the reason why I can't use my powers properly!! He blasted us with wind and I managed to stay for a second before flying off like the rest of the ninjas.

"Oh and about your other friend?" He said as he started laughing. "He's fine for the moment. I'm just watching over him." He said with a smirk, soon pulling out a familiar necklace. That was Hikaru's necklace! "What have you done to him?!" I shouted upon seeing the jewelry. He put the necklace away as he smirked upon seeing me. "We just had a lovely chat, that's all. It was nice to see that he had dragon blood, so I awoke it, it's only a matter of time before he's blood thirsty. It was a grand sight to see when he looked like he was going to kill the green ninja!" He laughed. "And I see that you're the new master of wind. Sorry but I'm going to borrow my element back for a while." He said, causing me to glare at him.

"How are we supposed to fight him without our powers??" Jay exclaimed as we all ran at him to attack, but were knocked back. I groaned as I landed, glancing at the others while Cole said. "We may not have powers, but we still know a little thing called Spinjitzu!" He shouted, soon doing Spinjitzu and headed off in the other's direction, but was knocked back by his wind. "It was bad enough when we had to spar with Sora when he had wind, but now he has it??" I frowned and glared at Jay. It wasn't long before he also tried Spinjitzu and was knocked away by the wind. I was trying to analyze what was going on so I could figure out how we could distract or even defeat him. I never thought I had to go against my own element.

'Lloyd' decided to use the windmill that was over to the side when Zane had grabbed his shurikens and I found myself rolling out of the way so I wouldn't get crushed or knocked away. Kai was unlucky out of us all as he was sent flying. I frowned as Cole was brought closer to him before being thrown right back away by the force of the wind. "Cole!" I shouted, hoping he would be okay. Instead, we were all brought into a mini tornado before being knocked in all kinds of directions. I hated this, but I couldn't do anything. I could only watch as he made his way into the tea shop. No!

I groaned as I tried to stand up, but my body hurt from the harsh landing. I didn't even pay attention to what the guy was saying until Jay jumped up. "Hey, hey, hey! No one calls me pathetic!" But just as he said that, the doors to the tea shop were slammed shut. The force from slamming the doors had thrown wind at us to the point I almost flew across the whole courtyard again. I glared at the door as I got up, watching as my friends did the same. "Well...I guess we know what would happen if we pissed Sora off enough." I heard Kai joke that caused me to turn to him with my glare. He immediately closed his mouth and turned towards the door. Just as we looked back at the shop, Nya and Sensei Wu ran out. "To the barn!" Nya said as she ran into that direction.

I frowned and shook my head, standing with my friends as Kai explained. "I'm not running away from Lloyd." I nodded and added. "And we need to get Hikaru's necklace to help him!" Sensei frowned as he stopped running and looked at all of us, Nya stopping as well. "We will not win this fight today." He told us. I frowned and nodded. I hated to admit it, but he was right. We can't win the fight today. We will try tomorrow though. We'll get stronger to help our friends. We all ran to the barn where the Bounty had been at, waiting for when we would need it to escape, like now. The moment we all got onto the ship though, I looked around to not see Kai anyway. "Wait, where's Kai??" I asked as myself, Jay, Cole and Zane ran over to the railing just as the Bounty rose up into the air and saw Kai standing on the ground still, but was previously knocked over.

"Is he crazy??" Jay asked, but we already knew the answer to that. Kai was hard headed. I mean I could be too like Hikaru, but we at least knew when to back down when we bite off more than we can chew. Well more Hikaru than me, but that isn't the point right now! I could only watch as Kai was tackled to the ground before he was brought up so he could get yelled at by the one in Lloyd's body. "Where's my brother?" Nya asked as she ran over to us. I frowned as we all looked back down over the railing. "He's fighting the Green Ninja. Alone." Jay explained. That actually makes more sense cause I didn't know what to refer to him as, seeing as I didn't know his name.

We watched as Kai managed to move around in his hold and held him back, watching as the Bounty was slowly starting to get away. "We've gotta do something!" Nya said in worry. I was confused when both of them seemed to falter in what they were doing, but it ended when the anchor of the Bounty came up behind Kai and lifted him up. "Wait! Let me go!" Kai shouted up at us. "A perfect wedgie!" Cole exclaimed and I couldn't help but laugh at that. I'm glad some of us could joke around at a time like this. "I saw Lloyd!" Kai continued to shout at us. My eyes widened slightly as I looked at him. He did?? That couldn't be possible, could it? "Put me down! Let me go!" Kai just continued to shout at us, but no one moved to lower the anchor again.

Jay and Cole helped Kai onto the Bounty just as we noticed the sails being tampered with. It was him. I knew it was cause only a sudden gust of wind could mess with the sails. We had run inside the Bounty to avoid being thrown off and Kai ran straight to his sister. "We have to go back!" He insisted. Nya shook her head as she tried her best to keep a hold of the ship. "Sorry, brother, that's what I'm trying to avoid." She explained, but it wasn't a second longer before the Bounty was tilted enough that we lost our footing and slid down towards the bottom half of the ship. "Oh no!" Nya exclaimed as we slid down. It was hard to not hit the glass under us unless we grabbed onto something in here, but you had to be careful not to hit a button of grab onto a lever or anything to set something you don't want to off.

"Give me your hand!" I heard Kai say, and I looked up to see him swing his sister up to where she could grab onto a lever. "I've got it!" She exclaimed and I couldn't help but let out a cheer when I realized it was the rocket boosters. The other boys didn't follow my lead as they looked at Sensei. "Spill it, Sensei. What just happened back there and what've they done to our friends?" Jay asked as he narrowed his eyes at Sensei Wu. I frowned and looked at Sensei when Cole asked. "Yeah, Sensei. Who was that?" Sensei let out a sigh before explaining. "You four were not my first pupils. There was one before you." My eyes widened as we all let out murmurs of confusion.

"Morro. The previous master of wind." Sensei told us. The moment it was confirmed, I frowned. Previous master..? So he is my ancestor? Nya caught our attention again as she said. "Okay, now those lights scare me. We got something on our six." Morro. That's what. "Looks like your previous master of wind, just caught his second wind." Nya told us, and I didn't know why, but I hated to hear that. It angered me to hear that he was the previous master of wind. He was harming two of my friends! I felt something snap within me at that moment and I ran outside before any of the others could. Previous master of wind my ass, I want my element back, now!
