Big Red's POV
Ashlyn was back at school the next day. I was, obviously, glad. I was also worried about her, with everything that had been happening.
Sitting at lunch, I slipped my hand into Ashlyn's, smiling at her. Inconveniently, Felicity decided to sit down beside me. I say it was inconvenient, but I'm sure she did it for a reason. My guess was proved correct.
"Hi Big Red." She smiled.
"Uh, hello." I awkwardly responded. I felt Ashlyn lean on my shoulder, probably getting jealous. Which was fine by me, as it made me feel like Felicity couldn't flirt (I was very wrong). "Ash, this is Felicity. She's in tech too."
"Nice to meet you." Ashlyn sounded hesitant.
"And this is my girlfriend." I told Felicity.
"She's back?" She questioned.
"Yeah. And I'm right here." Ashlyn said, sounding irritated. I turned and smiled sympathetically at her.
"Oh. So we really can't go out anymore?" Felicity asked, clearly trying to mess with Ashlyn and I. And succeeding.
"Wh- What?" Ashlyn stuttered, letting go of my hand.
"No, that— she meant— Ash—" I couldn't make a full sentence, I was panicking. I hadn't done anything wrong, but if she thought I had...
Ashlyn stood up. "I'll be back in a bit. You two do your thing." She mumbled, walking away.
"Wait, but—" I could see Felicity smiling (probably smirking) out of the corner of my eye. "I—" Wanting to chase after her, but not knowing what to say, I sat there like an idiot.
"Dude, where did Ashlyn go?" Ricky asked me, moving to sit where she had been sitting.
"I think... she thinks I cheated on her..." I mumbled. I turned to Felicity. "Leave."
"Harsh."
"Me? Listen to yourself."
"Fine, I'll go." Felicity left. I turned back to Ricky.
"Why would she think that?" Ricky asked.
I told him what she had said. "She probably thinks I'm a jerk now."
"Not if you go after her." He said. "You just tell her the truth."
"She'll be mad I never mentioned Felicity before, though... or think it's a lie..." I trailed off.
"Just go find her." Ricky pushed me into a standing position. "Right now."
