Characters included: Alex Bailey, Conner Bailey, and Present Xanthous!

The three were back in their timeline now since they ran out of time in the past. Alex and Conner Bailey were on Alex's bed across from Xanthous. They didn't lose eye contact with him while tears rolled down their faces. Xanthous had no idea where to start and tried to think of a different topic, he didn't like talking about his past self.

"Are you guys crying?" Xanthous questioned.

"Oh, of course not. It's just water falling from our eyes- WHAT DO YOU THINK?!" Conner shouted.

"Xanthous, we saw our grandma. But, not just grandma, but her younger self! I don't know why it hurts me so bad seeing her.." Alex said sadly.

"Yeah, she really looks like u- hold on, you're trying to change the topic, aren't you?" Conner crossed his arms.

"I would never.." Xanthous lied.

The twins raised an eyebrow at him, not believing him at all. Xanthous just sighed in response.

"It's just why did your grandmother give you that specific spell?" Xanthous asked.

"Your changing the topic again!" Alex said.

"It's not that hard, Xan Xan. Just explain!" Conner exclaimed.

"Xan Xan?" Xanthous looked at Conner up and down.

"It's a nickname I gave you! Now, explain!" Conner was growing impatient.

Xanthous looked away and tried to think of where he should even start. He knew he could not get out of this situation and looked back at them.

"As you can tell, you were in the past. You saw the Fairy Council but your age.." Xanthous told them.

"Why did you lie to us when we were there?" Alex asked.

"I just really don't want to remember that time.." Xanthous explained.

"Why?" Conner questioned.

"A bunch of stuff happened during that time, that's all." He replied.

"You're really not being specific, Xanthous. We want to know what happened during that time, why did you all leave the kingdom together? Was it an emergency? Was it urgent?" Alex questioned.

Xanthous fell silent once again as the twins waited with curiousity.

"We all left the acdem- I mean kingdom, to meet these Sorcerers that were outside our protection bush. They all came to the kingdom for.." Xanthous hesitated to say the last part.

"For?" Alex asked.

"For what?" Conner questioned.

"For me, they tried to convince me that I am somehow connected to them," He responded sadly.

The twins grew silent as they looked at each other. They could tell this was a hard topic for him to talk about. The twins had the same idea in their minds at the exact time. They needed to know more about the Fairy Council..

"What was Grandma like..?" Alex questioned.

"She was one of a kind. Your grandma would always try to think of any solutions when we were in trouble. She almost sacrificed herself to the Three Thirty Three. She was a courageous leader to us all." Xanthous replied.

"That sounds like her all right," Conner said.

" 'Three Thirty Three?' " Alex tilted her head.

"It's a long story that I prefer not talking about.." Xanthous told her.

"How about Emerelda?" Conner asked.

"Still the same as ever. When we first tried to let her join us, she refused but eventually she came around. Emerelda is still a hardworking fairy out of all of us today.." Xanthous responded.

"Have the others changed?" Alex questioned.

"Mother Goose is still the same today. She can cause trouble and bring out the fun out of all of us. Tangerina is of course, still the same since we met her. Just a little nicer then before. Skylene is still the cheerful fairy we know." Xanthous had a little smile on his face.

"Wait, I just realized something.." Conner said out loud.

"And what's that?" Alex looked over at him.

"Where was Rosette, Violetta, and Coral at the time?" Conner asked Xanthous.

"They weren't part of the Fairy Council yet. But, I remember how we encountered them. Rosette was very cheerful when we first met her. She lived in a huge garden that used to be filled with people. The garden had tons of plants we have never even heard of. Violetta wasn't very friendly to us when we met her, she would usually always avoid us since she didn't trust us at first. Lastly, Coral was just a big fan of us. She told us that she has heard of us before and was a huge fan." Xanthous explained.

(I don't know how Violetta and Coral became part of the Fairy Council so I just made it up. Don't come at me-)

"So, basically before Rosette, Violetta, and Coral came along. You guys were basically the OG's!" Conner exclaimed.

" 'OG's'?" Xanthous tilted his head in confusion.

"It's short for originals.." Alex must have noticed his confusion.

"Ah, I see.." Xanthous nodded.

The twins loved hearing about the past Fairy Council. They couldn't believe that have been friends since their age! Everyone still seems the same today! But, not everyone..

"Xanthous, what were you like?" Alex furrowed her eyes.

Xanthous had a surprise expression when she asked that specific question.

"Yeah, you didn't look so strict back then.." Conner felt a punch on his arm from his sister, "What? It's just facts!" Conner said in defense.

"I was a very anxious person at the time. I hated that I was magical or I just hated my magic. Let's just say, I wasn't confident in the past.." Xanthous was avoiding contact with the twins.

"But hey, look at you now! You're like a totally different person now. I almost believed that wasn't even you back then," Conner exclaimed.

"You guys have come so far, it's unbelievable!" Alex said with excitement.

The twins noticed something on Xanthous' face that they haven't seen before. A grin of happiness..

"We really have come so far, it's our duty to save others.." Xanthous replied with a huge smile.
