Adventures with the Fairy Council

Experiment Time!

Characters included: Tangerina, Skylene, Xanthous, and Brystal.

In the academy, Skylene, Xanthous, and Tangerina were doing an experiment in the lab below. The three were trying to make a potion to see if it would work out. But, every time they added more chemicals to the liquid, it would end up making a little explosion or turn all brown and taste gross.

"Why don't we have potion classes in the academy? Because if we did, it would be so useful right now!" Skylene exclaimed while searching for more chemicals.

"It's because witches make potions, not fairies!" Tangerina told her.

"What potion are we doing again?" Xanthous asked the two.

"A love potion!" Tangerina and Skylene said in unison.

"Anddd, why exactly are we making that?" Xanthous questioned.

"So, we can let fishes drink the love potion and fall in love! Just imagine, two fishes falling in love. It would be so beautiful.." Skylene said.

"Or gross, if I saw two fishes making out I would puke for days." Tangerina says with her tongue out.

"I don't know about this, it doesn't sound realistic.." Xanthous told them with concern in his voice.

"Yeah, the more I think about it the more I don't think it will work.." Tangerina starting to agree with him.

"Says the people who literally have beehived hair and can make fire appear in his shoulders and head!" Skylene rolled her eyes.

Tangerina added a orange-yellowish looking chemical in the liquid when it quickly lighted on fire.

"AHHHH! FIRE! WHAT DO WE DO?!" Skylene yelled out, looking to see if there was any water anywhere.

Xanthous and Tangerina looked at each other and back at Skylene.

"Ahem.." Xanthous pointed to Skylene's hair.

"Huh?- OH! Yeah, I knew that.." Skylene told them.

She formed water in her hands and put the fire out. She continued working on the potion as Tangerina and Xanthous looked at each other again.

"Should we stop her? She could accidentally blow up this whole room!" Xanthous said to Tangerina with panic.

"Nonsense! If I know Skylene, she will be very wise with her actions.." Tangerina told him.

Skylene added one last chemical to the potion, she got her goggles on and got ready for anything to happen. But to her surprise, nothing happened. She looked closely at the potion, it was all green and looked really fizzy. Bubbles would form in the top and pop right after.

"I did it..I DID IT!" Skylene exclaimed to the both of them.

"That's nice, Sky but-" Before Xanthous could finish, she ran out of the room.

The two chased after her until they were met at a pond in front of the academy. Skylene was about to pour the potion but Tangerina stopped her.

"Is this safe?" Tangerina said to her very excited friend.

"Of course it is! We tried everything and this was the only one that didn't do anything bad!" Skylene looked back at the fishes.

"But, do you know if it even is a love potion?" Xanthous asked.

Skylene was about to nod with grin but stopped and thought about it. She looked at the potion, it looked dangerous the more she thought about it.

"I don't know actually, you guys have a fair point.." Skylene quickly stood up and looked at the both of them.

The two sighed with relief.

"But, you never know if you try!" Skylene quickly splashed the potion into the pond.

"NO!" Xanthous and Tangerina both yelled out.

But, nothing happened. The only thing they could hear was the fish splashing around in the water.

"Ha! I told you guy-" Skylene got interrupted by a rumble on the ground.

The three looked down and saw the ground shaking. They started panicking, they didn't know what was happening!

Suddenly, the shaking stopped and it was just silence. The only thing they could hear was their hearts beating fast.

Xanthous felt a shadow over them and looked back up and felt like screaming with fear.

"G-Guys? You might want to look behind you..!" Xanthous told them, not leaving eye contact with the figure.

The two turned around and screamed. There in front of them was a humongous fish with legs, staring down at them.

"WHEN DID FISHES GET LEGS?!" Tangerina yelled with fear.

"A MUTANT FISH?!" Skylene yelled with a panicked voice.

"RUN!" Xanthous exclaimed.

The other two couldn't agree more and the three ran from the giant fish. The fish chased after them making the ground shake more and more every time he stomped.

Brystal was going on her daily walk and opened the doors to leave the academy. She left Emerelda in charge to take care of the students. Brystal inhaled the fresh air with a smile.

"Ahh, the wind is always so refreshing. Oh look, Skylene, Tangerina, and Xanthous are playing tag with a humongous fish..WAIT A HUMONGOUS FISH?" Brystal exclaimed.

Brystal got her wand out and tried to think of what to do. An idea popped up in her head and pointed the wand at the mutant fish. The fish started shrinking and shrinking until it was back to it's regular size.

Skylene noticed this and threw the fish in the pond but accidentally missed the pond from a far. She rushed over but saw the fish has died.

The two were following her and looked at the fish. Tangerina kicked the fish back in the pond.

"Haha, that could have gone worse!" Skylene chuckled nervously.

"I WOULD HAVE RATHER WATCH TWO FISHES MAKE OUT IN FRONT OF ME!" Tangerina was glaring at her friend.

"WE COULD HAVE DIED BY A FISH! A FISH! I DON'T WANT MY GRAVE TO SAY "Xanthous had died by a fish.."!" Xanthous yelled out.

Skylene tried to hold in her laughter. She could imagine how hilarious that would have been.

"You are so lucky that I am not strangling you right now! I'm too tired from getting chased by a fish!- Now, that's something I never knew I would ever say in my life.." Tangerina said.

The three heard someone clear their throat so they could hear. The three looked at Brystal with a nervous smile.

"Shoot." The three said in unison.
