Brystal smiled as she looked over at the dining table full of treats and goodies. She especially was excited for the special surprises she had up her sleeve, Brystal was quite proud of them. A jar full of pixies that will light up many colors when it turns to a new year, a couple of glasses full of glitter that will create a firecracker noise when let out, and of course, a noise maker because why not?
She still couldn't believe on how long she has known the members of the Fairy Council. Brystal was once living in a house with her family, silently reading books to herself at night. If only her young self can see where she is now. The amount of lives she has saved and letting magic be accepted into the once corrupted world. Brystal really appreciated where she now stood as a whole new and changed person. A new year equals new memories and opportunities that will come their way.

"Lucy, you know those are meant for later." Brystal says while preparing the table, not needing to look at the culprit to know what they were doing. "Wouldn't want you to ruin it before the end of today, at least do it next year."

Lucy looked up while her arm was extended to grab the sparkly trinket but laughed at Brystal's saying, "Haha, I see what you did there."

Brystal looked over to see Lucy clearly hiding something in her cardigan, "Is that a gun?"

"Hm?" Lucy hums in confusion. "No, I've just been losing weight. Thanks for notic-"

"Give me the gun."

"You don't need it!" Lucy exclaimed.

"And clearly you don't either, what's that even for?" Brystal put out her hand until the gun was planted onto her palm.

"Well, I had an idea, you see, dear friend." Lucy patted the machine. "What if I shoot only once in the air when it strikes on the dot!"

Lucy felt the item slip out of her grasps and looked over to see Skylene now have the object as she eyed it in amazement. "Wait, Sky-"

"Ooh! Is this for the kids in the academy?" Skylene says in astonishment. "How do we use it on them?"

Brystal sighed as she grabbed her wand to make the gun disappear in thin air.

"What's all this, Brystal?" Skylene asked as she observed the table full of wonders. "This doesn't seem that edible for dinner..."

Brystal laughed, "It's for later, to celebrate our accomplishments we made this year and for the upcoming one."

Lucy looked over at Skylene, "She's telling us we're going to die."

Before Brystal could respond, she smelled something in the air that was way too familiar. She rushed over to the next room to be greeted with Tangerina and Xanthous with a bunch of wood on the floor, almost looking like lost dogs caught in the act. It was like she was witnessing a crime scene from just their faces. Tangerina was in pure shock as Xanthous looked horrified, Brystal noticed the little spark in the wood.

"Are you guys camping?" Skylene asked. "I think that's meant for outside from what I recall."

"What's going on here?" Emerelda asked, coming out from the corner. "I smelled something unpleasant in the air."

"Why do you always arrive when something bad is happening? It's like you're praying for our downfall to criticize it." Lucy commented.

Xanthous spoke up, "Yeah, like why did you come in my room when I was having a nightmare? You never come in my room! You said I forgot something but never gave it to me and came in with NOTHING! Like, please at least come in with my confidence that I have yet found."

"Where were you when Lucy had a gun?" Brystal asked.

Emerelda gasped, "LUCY HAD A GUN?"

"Never mind that, let's question the obvious situation here." Brystal pointed towards Tangerina and Xanthous.
