The run to Coahuila was torturous. Although it only took us half the time it normally would by car it still didn't feel fast enough. Knowing that Lilith was in danger put me so on edge that I couldn't bring myself to slow down for anyone. My anger and anxiety fueled me to keep running.
We didn't stop to rest the entire trip, so when we arrived about a mile away from where Lilith's location was pinging we were all exhausted.
We each shifted back to our wolf forms in order to easily organize a plan.
From where we stood we could see the location was an abandoned hotel on the side of an old highway. Few cars passed through so I guess that's why they chose this place. It was very secluded.
"Alright. We need to assume the place is heavily guarded considering how many wolves had attacked last night." Trevor begins.
"I think only two or three of us should try to get in, at least until the rest of the pack shows up." Alyssa finishes.
"How long till they arrive?" Elaine asks.
"Maybe an hour?" Trevor responds.
"I'm going now." I state immediately. "A lot can happen in an hour and I'm not waiting."
Alyssa and Trevor nod. "Alright then let's assemble a team of three to go in, and the rest will be look outs. If you're spotted by anyone take them out before they can notify anyone else, that'll mostly be the look outs job." Alyssa states.
"I'm going with Kai. I can't let Ezekiel hurt another member of my family" Anna states.
"I'll go too." Elaine offers.
"No." I immediately say. I don't want her feelings against Lilith to affect this mission.
"Kai. I have no malice towards her. I promise I'm in this to save her too." She says sternly. "I'm one of the best and everyone here knows it." She adds.
I sigh and shake my head.
"Alright" I finally say.
"Alright. Well for starters you all need to know about the way Ezekiel trains his fighters." Anna starts. "Every single one of them is lethal, each family who has a boy in the family is taken by the age of 12 and put through 8 years of rough torturous training. These men don't have feelings, and they can't be reasoned with so don't try. Like Alyssa said, if you're spotted you need to take them out immediately before they can notify anyone else. I am aware none of you have ever seen real combat or taken a life, and I can assure you these guys have so they will have that experience over you. I can't stress this enough, you cannot hesitate for a second because they will kill you on sight." She finishes.
All 10 of us look at each other sharing a split second look of fear. Although we were all trained in combat she was right, none of us had ever taken a life and I think we all knew today would be the day we all did. I have no faith that this will go smoothly without any casualties, and it terrified the absolute shit out of me.
