Double Rainbow (Katy Perry Fan Fiction)

Surprise

     lt is the night of February 28th and l am snuggling on the couch with Abby. We are watching Into The Woods. So far, l think Abby has liked it. The movie is almost over and l hear the phone ring. l get up to see who it was and l automatically recognize the number. lt's my mom. l don't answer, but she leaves a voice mail saying

"Hey, this is Katy. l was just checking in on Samie. Seeing how she's been doing. l know it is late, but l know that Samie is up. l would have called earlier, but l was performing. My concert just got done. Please call back." l feel a tear run down my face because l know she isn't happy. She might sound like it, but she isn't. l can tell that right after she hit 'end' she started crying. Right now, her make-up is probably smeared down her face. l feel Abby come up behind me and put her arms around me. 

"Are you okay?" she asks

"Does it look like it?" l ask. She kisses me on the lips and l always smile after she kisses me because it gives me a rush that l just can't explain

"Now, you do," she says. l kiss her on the lips and l hear someone open their door. They don't know that Abby is here so she goes and hides. Lina walks in the room

"Did the phone go off?" 

"Yeah, but l didn't get to it in time to see who it was. They left a voice mail." Lina pushes the button to listen to the voice mail again. The phone starts ringing again. Lina answers it and puts it on speaker

"Hello," she says

"Hi, is this Lina or Stephen?" a man asks

"This is Lina."

"Okay, good. l know it is late, but the judge has just informed me great news. Katy Perry still has custody over Samie, but if Samie is in LA for the weekend she is to spend, at least, 3 hours with Tessa and Frank." he says

"Thank you so much," she says

"You're welcome," he says and hangs up the phone

"Did you hear that, Samie. You get to go back with your mom!" l don't say anything, l just bury my face in her shoulder. This is the first time l have ever hugged one of them. "Your things are pretty much packed already, right."

"Yeah, l just have the clothes that l have worn and the stuff on my walls that l don't have packed."

"l guess, you can just start packing now or just pack tomorrow morning."

"Are you kidding me? l'm going to start packing now!" 

"Okay," she says as she starts to walk back to her room. Abby quietly walks to my room with me to start packing my things

*Tamra's POV*

    l get a text from Samie and it says:

Samie: Hey lm gonna surprise her so dont tell her

Me: Wat

Samie: Youre bout 2 get a call & youll understand

     Right after l read Samie's text, Katy's phone starts to ring. lt is an unknown number. l answer anyways. 

"Hello," l say

"Hello, is this Katy?" a man asks

"No, she's busy right now, but this is her manager."

"Okay, l have great news for Katy. The judge has been thinking so hard and has decided that Samie is to go back with Katy, but on the weekends that Samie is in LA, she is to spend, at least, 3 hours with Tessa and Frank on Saturday's. Besides that time, she is all Katy's."
