Come Over

I am starting to get a bit worried because I haven't had my period the last couple of months. I dress down and put on my sunglasses. I walk out of the house. My mom is still asleep and I hope she stays asleep for a while. I drive to the nearest drug store. When I walk in, a Katycat recognizes me.

"Samie!" she shouts

"Hi," I say and she gives me a hug

"Where's Katy?"

"Oh, she's taking a well deserved nap."

"Oh, okay. Can you give her something when she wakes up?"

"Of course." She pulls an envelope out of her purse and hands it to me. I take it and put it under my arm because I didn't bring a bag. She walks off and I go and find the pregnancy tests. I grab one and pay for it. Thankfully, no one recognized me at the registers. I walk out. I take the pregnancy test as soon as I get home. It says to wait a while so I go into the living room and watch TV.

*A couple hours later*

I hear my mom walking around in her room. I think she is getting dressed. I walk into the bathroom where I left the pregnancy test. I look and there is one line and beside it, a very faint line. I drop the pregnancy test. Tears start to roll down my face. I hear my mom walking down the stairs so I hurry up and hide the pregnancy test in the trash can. I flush the toilet to make her think I was using the restroom. When I walk back into the living room, she is at the bottom of the stairs.

"Good morning Mom," I say as I give her a kiss.

"How long have you been up?" She smooths back her bed head

"A couple of hours. I didn't want to wake you up. I knew you would have wanted to just sleep."

"Oh, okay."

"Oh, and I went out and someone wanted me to give this to you." I hand her the letter. She smiles and I walk upstairs and into my room. I get out my phone to call Brock. The phone rings a couple of times, but he answers

"Good morning baby."

"Hey, can you come over?"

"For what?"

"I need to talk to you."

"Okay? I will be there in a couple of minutes."

"Okay, I love you."

"I love you." I hang up the phone and just sit in my bed.

*Katy's POV*

I am sitting on the couch and the doorbell rings. I get up and crack the door. I see that it is Brock and I open the door all the way.

"Hey, what are you doing here so early?"

"Samie called. She wanted to talk to me about something, it sounded serious."

"Oh, okay. I think she is in her room."

"Okay, thank you." I watch him walk upstairs. I know that I am probably going to regret doing this, but I want to know what they are talking about. I grab two waters and go upstairs. I knock on Samie's door and then I walk in.

"I'm just bringing you both waters. Just, in case, you get thirsty."

"Oh, thank you." They both say in unison. I turn around as I'm about to leave, I push a button on the wall so that I can hear what they are saying when I'm in my room. I quickly go into my room and listen

"So what did you want to talk about?"

"Over the past couple of months, I haven't been having my periods."
