Finally

It is December 18th and I'm 5 months pregnant. I can feel the baby kicking. She doesn't like it when people lay their heads on my belly, but they do it anyways. My mom can't wait to see me in a couple of days because it has been so long since she has. She is getting on a plane 2 days from now and will be home in 3 days. I'm really excited. Abby is coming over to my house tonight because we have to study for our history final tomorrow. If it was my choice, I wouldn't be studying, but she's making me. I am sitting on the couch watching TV in short shorts that say my mom's name on the butt and a white tank-top and I hear the doorbell ring. I look what time it is and it's a little bit earlier than what she said she was going to come over, but I get up and get the door. I open it and Brock is standing on the other side.

"Samie, please give me another chance."

"What happened to me having too many scars that are too noticeable for you?"

"I thought about it and my love for you outweighs that."

"What we had wasn't love. I thought it was, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that the only reason you stayed was for the baby."

"No, that's not true." I slam the door shut.

Abby texts me saying that she is running a little bit late and that she will be at my house in a couple of minutes. When the doorbell rings, I struggle to get up. After I finally get up, I walk to the door and open it. Abby steps into my house and throws her bag on the couch.

"Can I have a snack?"

"Yeah." She walks into the kitchen and gets a package of Oreos and some milk. "Do you want to go out to the terrace?"

"I was going to go out there anyways."

"Of course you were."

"It's one of my favorite parts of your house."

"So, you have more than one favorite part of my house."

"Well, of course. You have a hammock bed. You have a fish tank surrounding your bed."

"I'm actually thinking about moving that and repainting my walls."

"Why? That's so cool, though. Why would you want to get rid of it?"

"Well, it's a struggle with being pregnant and when the baby is born, I want her to be able to sleep right next to my bed, but there is no room inside of that."

"That's a good point. What are you going to do with it then?"

"I don't really know, yet. I might just go with plain white."

"That's boring."

"I'm a boring person."

"No, you're not."

"Yes I am." She kisses me on the lips, but pulls away after a couple of seconds. She looks down at the ground

"I'm sorry."

"No, it's okay. I liked it." I put my hand under her chin and lift her head back up to where she is looking at me and I kiss her on the lips. She puts her arms around my waist after putting the Oreos on the table.

Abby is laying beside me and we are still kissing when her phone rings. It's her mom so she answers.

"Hey."

"Why aren't you home yet?"

"Sorry, we got sidetracked."

"By what?"

"Here's a hint. Brock and Samie broke up."

"Oh, my God, Abby."
