Just a Trip

     We are leaving for New York tomorrow. We already have our stuff packed. Celeste, Abby, and one of Abby's friends, Jayde, are coming with us even though they should be at school. We are staying in New York for 2 days, then going on a private cruise to Costa Rica. They all already have their passports. After staying in Costa Rica for a couple days, we are taking a plane to Hawaii and staying there for a few days. My mom said something about Orlando coming which doesn't bother me as long as they keep their distance when Celeste is around. Celeste, Abby, and Jayde are spending the night at my house just for convenience reasons.  I helped them pack because they didn't know exactly what to pack. Their suitcases are laying in the living room with my mom's and my suitcases. We are having a babysitter come along too so I can have alone time with them or my mom. The babysitter is my aunt.

     It is time to start getting ready to head to the airport. I roll over and wake up Celeste who is sleeping next to me in my bed. We walk downstairs to get up Jayde and Abby who are sleeping in the guest bedroom. We walk back upstairs to my room to get ready and they get ready in the bathroom downstairs. I look at my phone and I have a text from Shelby

Shelby: ur leavin 4 NY 2day right

Me: ya c ya soon

Shelby: c u soon 2

     I get dressed in a pair of Adidas sweatpants and sweatshirt before getting Emelie out of her crib. My mom walks into the restroom as I'm doing my hair. I see Orlando laying in her bed

"When did he get here?"

"Last night after you went to bed." 

"Oh, I didn't hear anything when I woke up a couple hours later."

"That's because we are saving it for the trip."

"Oh..." Way to make things awkward, mom. I walk back into my room where Celeste is laying on my bed, holding Emelie. 

"You're so precious," Celeste says

"Aww, thank you... Oh, you were talking to Emelie." Celeste laughs

     We get into the car with all of our stuff packed and we head to the airport. When we get there we check our bags and they get put into my mom's private jet. My aunt met us at the airport. When we are about to leave, we get on the plane. My mom picks the window seat and I sit my stuff next to her. Celeste sits next to me. Jayde is sitting next to Abby. My aunt is sitting in front of me and Emelie is next to her. Emelie is awake now so I give her a pacifier 

"How is this fair?" Orlando asks. Abby puts her stuff in the seat across the isle from Celeste

"I'm her daughter."

"I'm her boyfriend."

"I've known her longer."

"That doesn't matter."

"In this case it does."

"I can go sit by Abby. Maybe we can get to know each other more."

"You don't have to, babe."

"All I know about her is that she's your ex. I want to know more about her than just that."

"Okay." She moves her stuff and Abby moves one seat in. Orlando takes the window seat and I'm sitting in the isle seat. Jayde is sitting in front of Abby, but she says she doesn't mind. 

"I'm kind of nervous."

"Why?"

"This is the first time I've flown before."
