It is May 7th and I am starting to really miss Samie. I talk to her all the time when I can, but it really isn't that much. Her and J started dating. I'm so happy for them. From the pictures she has tweeted, they are happy together. I think J is just afraid that Samie still loves Abby and is just using her to get Abby back. I know that Samie would never do that, though.
"Hey, Katy. You need to go to bed soon. It's almost midnight."
"Okay, I'm just going to call Samie really quick." I get out my phone and call Samie. She answers and kind of laughs and I can hear J laughing in the background.
"Hey, Mom, what's up?"
"Just about to go to bed and I wanted to call you before I went to bed."
"Okay, well are you having fun?"
"Yeah, I just miss you so much."
"Me, too. Only 6 more days, though."
"Yeah, well what have you been doing with J?"
"We just got back from watching a movie."
"Oh, cool. Did you watch at the house in the movie room or did you actually go to the movies?"
"We watched it at the house, but I'm staying over at J's. Her family is so funny."
"Yeah, if they're anything like J then they must be very funny."
"They are. J's little brother is so cute. He's a show-off."
"Aww. How old is he?"
"He's 9 and he loves you. Oh, my God. He wouldn't stop talking to me about you."
"Aww. Well, I have to go so Tamra will stop yelling at me to go to bed."
"Okay, bye. Luh you."
"Luh you," I say, but she already hung up the phone. I get under the covers and I lay on my back. I try to imagine Samie laying her head on my boobs, but I can't. I just lay there looking at the ceiling. I get out my phone and take a selfie with a frownie face. I tweet it and post it on Instagram with the caption of:

Samie sees the tweet and she faves it. After a while, I finally fall asleep

I am walking to the Meet and Greet of my concert and Tamra comes running towards me with my phone as I walk into the Prism Lounge. Everyone sees that I'm on the phone, so they quiet down and don't bother me.
"Hello," I say
"Hello, this is James. Is this Katy?
"This is her."
"I'm calling you from the Children's Center for Cancer. I'm sorry to tell you this, but you daughter, Samie, has been diagnosed with stage 2 thyroid cancer." I don't say anything, I just start crying. All of the Katycats in the room start to cry with me even though they don't know why I'm crying. I put my hands over my hands after hanging the phone up. Johnny Wujek walks me out of the Prism Lounge
Tamra's POV
"Sorry, for everything. I know all of you want to meet Katy and talk to her, but something has popped up with her family so we are forced to cancel the Meet and Greet. I'm sure Katy will be a little better after the show and will call all of you back here so you can still get your Meet and Greet." Everyone sighs. They walk out and then I go back to find Katy. I don't know what happened. He just asked for Katy immediately and wouldn't tell me what was wrong. I find her in her dressing room because Todd is fixing her make-up from where it smeared.
