Today, is the day that Samie and l have interviews. l am getting interviewed on the Today Show and Samie is getting interviewed on ET Live. Samie's scars have pretty much healed to where you can't see them anymore unless you are right next to her. Todd put make-up on them to blend them in with her skin a bit more. You can still kind of seem them, but you really have to look. Samie is wearing the dress that Tamra bought her for Christmas with black heels. Samie's dress is white, tightly-fitted, and has gay pride flags on it. l am wearing a white crop-top that says "Be Afraid," in black lettering on it. l am wearing a black pencil skirt and black heels. Our heels look almost the same, but they have different patterns on them.
The interviewers flew to L.A. yesterday sometime to meet up with us. They are in the same building, just in different rooms. lt is getting close to the time that our interviews start so we get into the car. The whole ride is kind of awkward because no one talked.
When we get there, l park, and we get out of the car. Samie's room is nearly all the way across the building from mine. l bet she likes that. When we get into the building, we go our separate ways.
l walk into the room and l stand in awe. l have never seen a room so neatly decorated with pictures of me and some of me and Samie. l give my phone to Todd. l would usually give it to Tamra, but she with Samie. When l walk in, the man stands up to give me a hug and an air kiss on either side of my face.
"Take a seat, get comfortable," the man says. He looks at the camera. "Currently, l am in California with the beautiful, talented, mother of 1, and currently on break from her Prismatic World Tour. Katy Perry!" he says
"Oh, come on. You can't just stop there," l say
"l couldn't think of anything else off of the tip of my tongue," he says
"Oh, l could come up with a lot of things. Hot, gorgeous, sexy, nice bodied, tres chic, je ne sais quoi. Did l forget to mention very hot?" l ask as l bite my nail seductively
"Down, boy, down," he says and start laughing really hard. He takes a deep breath and says
"Now, that my boy is down, let's get serious," he says
"Now, that your boy is down," l say laughing
"So, l have heard rumors about what is going on between you and Samie. l also heard that you don't even know why she is being this way. ls that true?" he asks
"Um.. Well, the thing is. A lot of people have been telling me this. Tamra has, Samie's friend has, basically all my friends have been telling me the same exact thing. That Samie just needs more alone time. You know, l spend most of my free-time with her and everyone says that's a bit much, but the only time she could get away from me is if she stayed at home, but l don't want to be all the way across the world from my daughter," l say
"Yeah, l have a kid of my own and l could never imagine being all the way across the world from him. Especially, as long as you are," he says
"Yeah, a year is a pretty long time," l say
"Moving on, you are performing at the Super Bowl," he says
"So, you've heard," l say nodding with a smile
"Can you tell us anything about it? Like costume changes to if you are bringing a special guest," he says
"Well, one of my special guests will be Lenny Kravitz. l can't tell you about the costumes or entrances and exits, but be prepared," l say
"l was really hoping l could get a little more information," he says
"Well, l am also going to be having really cool entrances and exits. lt makes me nervous just thinking about it. My hands are sweating right this moment," l say as l put my hands in the air
