It has almost been one and a half months since Emelie got diagnosed. The doctors gave her, at most, two months to live. I found out a few weeks ago that Chrissy had been cheating on me. I thought she was and that's why she wasn't invited to my birthday party. I walk down stairs to my mom and Orlando kissing. I clear my throat
"Oh, good morning, baby," my mom says as she stands up
"Morning." I plop down on the couch, next to Orlando
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Come on, Samie. I know when something's wrong."
"Yes, it is. Whatever it is, it's eating you alive."
"It's just the whole 'You're better without Chrissy' thing; I don't think it's true. You tell me that it's best for me to live without her, but I don't think I can."
"Samie, I'm not pressuring you to do something you don't want to do. If you want Chrissy back, go get her."
"Thanks, mom." I kiss her on the cheek before leaving. I get a rose and a huge teddy bear

I drive to her house and knock on the front door. Her mom opens the door
"Oh, my God. Chrissy's going to be so happy you're back. She hates herself for cheating on you."
"Can I come in?"
"Yeah, of course, she's up in her room."
"Who was that?" Chrissy shouts from upstairs
"Oh, no one, T." I walk up the stairs and up to her door and knock
"Come in." I open the door just far enough for me to poke my head through the crack
"Samie?" I notice that she has on the promise ring I got her and I still have mine on
"Hey, look. My life has been a living Hell without you." I open the door all the way and show her the rose and teddy bear
"Oh, Samie."
"I love you Chrissy, and I don't want anyone else. I want you."
"So you forgive me for cheating on you."
"Of course I do. I'm not going to let a one night stand ruin the relationship between me and the person I love."
"Samie, stop, you're gonna make me cry." I kiss her on the lips. She kisses me back, but pulls away as her mom walks into the room
"Glad to see you two made up."
"Us, too,"
"Well, I was just checking on how it was going up here." Her mom walks out
"How about we start over this relationship with meeting the soon to be president?"
