Regionals

     I spent the night at Chrissy's house because my mom had Orlando over. When I wake up, Chrissy is getting dressed. I sit up in her bed and she turns around.

"Sorry, I didn't want to wake you up. You looked so peaceful."

"Thanks."

"You also talk in your sleep. Don't worry, it's cute. Emelie is already dressed with a new diaper and everything."

"Oh, thanks and what did I say?"

"It's hard to tell. You kinda mumble it."

"Oh, well, anyways. At least I don't twitch in my sleep."

"I can't help it!"

"I think it's cute, Bitsy." She kisses me on the lips. "I will meet you at the school with your dinner and then meet you in Sacramento for the game."

"Okay, well, I better get to work."

"Don't have too much fun at work."

"Dude, it's In N Out Burger. I don't think I'm going to have that much fun." I laugh. She starts to walk over to the door, but I wrap my arms around her waist and kiss her on the lips

"You look good in uniform."

"Oh, you like a girl in uniform."

"Yeah, or it could just be the fact that it's In N Out Burger."

"Knowing you, it might just be that." She kisses me one last time before walking out of her room and leaving for work. I watch her drive off from her bedroom window. When I walk downstairs, holding Emelie, there's breakfast set for me.

"Come. Sit, Samie."

"No, I'm good. I was actually just about to head home."

"Are you sure? It's not problem if you stay for breakfast."

"No, no, I'm fine." I go to walk out of the door, but her dad steps in the way. I start to back up. "What are you doing? What do you want?" 

"We want you," her mom says

"Wh- What do you mean?"

"Mom, dad, let her go. What do you want from her anyway?" Chrissy's older sister asks

"Money. She has loads of money."

"Give it a break. Yes, she's rich and famous, but you can't kidnap her for money. Chrissy would be so pissed." She grabs my arm and drags me out of the door after pushing her dad out of the way. 

"What the fuck is wrong with your family?"

"My parents get a little cuckoo around rich people."

"A little?"

"Okay, a lot. Please, don't tell Chrissy. She would be so pissed at them if she knew."

"Can't make any promises."

"No, you have to promise me. If Chrissy found out, nothing would ever be the same."

"I'm not just going to sit back and pretend like your parents didn't just try to kidnap me."

"Samie, please." I get in my car and drive back to my house after saying

"My mama always told me 'Don't trust no bitch.' Now, apparently, I can't even trust my own girlfriend's family." I walk into my house to Rih, Adele, Markus, and Mia sitting on the couch

"Oh, hi, everyone. I didn't know my mom had guests over."

"Yeah, we are just having a few drinks."
