"Hello?" One of the other men spoke up. I don't know how long I was staring at the familiar man, but I shook myself out of it.

"Uh. Yeah. I'm sorry. Here are your drinks." I started naming them, and the men just sat there. "Oh, I'm new, so I'm not really sure who ordered what. Could you please say whose is whose?" I noticed all of them were wearing a black leather jacket that looked the same. On the left, above the heart, there was writing on each, but I couldn't read it.

"Tequila's his." The man to my right started talking. He was very tall, had broad shoulders, and dark brown hair slicked back. He also had a fairly large scar under his left cheek. He pointed to the man to my left who seemed too invested in his phone. Tequila guy seemed to be the shortest of the bunch, but still pretty tall compared to me. I noticed a matte black ring on his left ring finger. "Cosmopolitan's his." The guy with the scar pointed to the guy next to the Tequila guy. This guy had a smirk on his face, as he looked me up and down. "Bourbon's his." He pointed to the green-eyed man. He was staring at me, but I couldn't tell what he was thinking. "And Bloody Mary's mine." Scar guy finally said. I gave each of them their drinks and quickly walked away.

The universe can't seem to keep me away from this guy.

I went to Ryder who was sitting on a stool. It looked like he had tended to all the orders at the counter.

"You didn't tell me there were a bunch of scary-looking guys back there!" I yelled at him. "They looked like a bunch of hyenas ready to jump on me, the innocent gazelle!"

He chuckled. "Would you relax? They're Vince's friends. They come here often. They wouldn't do anything to someone like you."

"What do you mean someone like me?" I questioned him.

His eyes widened, and he shook his head while quickly getting up. "Nothing."

"Oh, there's definitely something. You're hiding it from me." I went closer to him. "Ryder, tell me. Please." I begged.

He looked at me and put his hands on my shoulders. "Naya, don't worry about them." He walked to the back room. There was something, and I wanted to know.

The rest of the night went fine, and it was 12am by the time the place emptied out. I went back to Vince's office.

I knocked on the door, and he called for me to come in.

"Hi. I finished up. Just wanted to let you know." I stood in front of his desk. Vince was looking at some paperwork and didn't look up. "So, do I have the job?" I blurted out.

He looked up at me. "Fine. You'll work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights. And Wednesday and Saturday daytime. You have off Tuesdays and Sundays but will come in one Sunday a month if needed. Remember to clock in and out." He grabbed some papers. "Fill these out and bring them in tomorrow during the day." He went back to his work

I grabbed them. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I smiled. He looked up at me, unamused. I took that as my cue to leave.

I decided to leave out the back entrance because it was closer. I stepped out and was instantly hit with the cold, night air. I started walking out of the alley when I heard a whistle behind me. I turned around and saw someone emerge from the shadows. It was one of the customers I had served at the counter earlier.

"Hey, baby. What are you doing out here at this time? Someone like you shouldn't be walking home alone. How about you come home with me?" He walked closer to me, and I backed away. This could not be happening again. This time no one was back here to help me. As I was backing away, I hit something. Or rather, someone. I quickly turned my head around because the individual's hands were around my waist, and I was met with the green eyes that couldn't seem to leave me. He was looking down at me with the same emotionless face.
