DAMIEN POV

Violet thought we should throw Scar a birthday party. I was not up for the idea, but she insisted. 'You only turn 26 once.' Which was the same thing she said when I turned 22 last year, and when it was anyone else's birthday in the gang. We don't do surprise parties anymore after the whole incident at my surprise party last year. It wasn't my fault I nearly shot the gang after they yelled "surprise" when I entered the cage. Luckily, I only hit the wall.

Lesson: Don't surprise a gang leader.

I could hear Violet yelling at the others about setting the place up. Yup, she's my sister. We both liked yelling at people.

I was currently sitting in my office, doing some paperwork for the bar upstairs. I can't believe I almost revealed to Naya that I owned the bar. I mean, it wouldn't be a bad thing. But I just wanted her to know the least information she could about the gang. Because everyone knows. The more information one knows, the more in danger they could be in. She could be kidnapped and then be blackmailed. I couldn't let anything like that happen. Wait. Why am I thinking of Naya? I was just thinking of the bar. How do all my thoughts get back to her? Ok, Damien. Stop.

Late into the party, I decided to leave my office. I didn't want to party, but I was getting bored inside. I'll just check it out and come back.

I stepped out and was instantly met with the loud music and voices. The smell of alcohol filled the air.

"Yo! Damien! Sup man!" Derek patted my back. "Welcome to the party" He was holding a bottle of beer.

I walked on, but someone grabbed my hand. I turned to see who it was. Zoe. She was dressed in a skimpy white dress that basically showed her entire ass. It looked terrible on her pale, bony body. I can't believe I hooked up with her. But, I was also going through something at the time.

"Hi, Damien." She put her hands on my shoulders and pressed her bony self on my body. She whispered in my ear. "How about we go back to your office? Or maybe your apartment. I can stay the night."

I pushed her off and walked away. I'd rather spend the night with Rocco, who snores. I mean SNORES. Literal bulldozer.

As I was walking through the crowd, I saw Naya. She was looking around, not looking straight ahead. The next thing I know, she walks into me. She stumbles backward, but I catch her waist. I looked down at her. She was dressed in a leopard print skirt and a black top that rode up showing her bare waist. She looked beautiful. My hands were touching the soft skin of her waist.

"Damien!" Naya exclaimed and grabbed my left hand. "Come. Let's dance." She dragged me to an empty spot on the floor. She put her hands around my neck. She's drunk. She'd never act like this.

"Naya. You're drunk. We sh-"

She cut me off. "Oh shh." She put her finger on my lips and I raised my eyebrows in surprise. How many drinks did she have? "Stop being so boring. Here." The girl grabbed my hands and put them around her waist. She swayed her hips and I instantly tightened my grip around her. Fuck.

I was staring at her. She looked up at me with those big brown eyes. "What?" Then she smiled wide.  What was this girl doing to me? "Is there something on my face?"

"Nothing," I said and bent down until our faces were only a few inches away from each other. I moved towards her ear and whispered. "You're perfect, darling." Then I kissed her ear and slowly stood up straight again. Even though it was kind of dark, I knew she was blushing.

Naya slowly leaned into my body. She leaned her head on my chest. We slowly swayed to the music.

After a few songs, I could feel her stop moving. I pushed away from her and saw her eyes closed. "Belle."
