Waking up Monday morning felt like hell. I didn't want to get out of bed. I didn't want to leave my apartment. I didn't want to do anything. The memories from last night came rushing back to my head.

But, I had errands to run. I had no actual food and had been surviving off of frozen waffles for the past three days, but I finished them yesterday.

I went into the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror, hoping the hickey had magically disappeared.

It hadn't.

After brushing my teeth and showering, I put on some concealer over the spot.

I headed to the grocery store and roamed the aisles for only necessary items. While I was looking for my milk, my phone dinged.

violet: what are you doing today?

naya: nothing really. at the grocery store rn

violet: come over to my place in like an hour

I was in absolutely no mood to see anybody today.

naya: why

violet: just bc

naya: oh wait. i think i'm working at the bar today

I lied.

violet: i know you're not

Gosh darn

naya: i have to clean

violet: i will personally come over and drag your ass out of your apartment

naya: fine send me the address

After shopping, I went back home with all my stuff. I decided to make myself a PB & J sandwich and watch something on my laptop.

An hour passed by, and I got ready to go over to the Amante residence.

I wore light wash denim shorts and a white shirt, and put my hair in a low ponytail, leaving out the two front strands.

I got an Uber and reached the place in 10 minutes. From what I remembered, it was the top floor.

Violet had told me to just come into the apartment without knocking because it would be unlocked. I twisted the doorknob and the door opened.

I walked in slowly and called out. "Hello? Violet?"

No response.

I went to her room and knocked on the door.

No response.

I opened it and saw no one inside.

I went back to the living room and texted her.

naya: where are you

I got no response. Why did she call me over if she's not here?

I heard footsteps from the hallway. I turned around and saw Damien.

Scratch that.

Shirtless Damien.

With only a towel around his waist.

I quickly turned my back towards him. "Ahh! I'm sorry!"

I heard him chuckle behind me. "What are you doing in my apartment, Naya?" I heard him approach me, but I didn't turn around.

"Uh. Violet told me to come over. She said the door was unlocked."

Damien was now standing behind me. "Violet left like 10 minutes ago."

I quickly turned around, only to be met with a muscular chest inches away from my face. My eyes widened, but I quickly covered them with my hands. "What do you mean she left?"

Damien slowly pulled my hands away from my face, but still held onto them. I looked up at his face. "She said she was meeting one of her friends. I don't know. I was in the shower."

Oh, I noticed.

He grinned. Oh my gosh. Did I say that out loud? "Let me go get dressed." He pointed behind him. "Or, I can stay like this if you want." Damien raised his eyebrows and smirked and reached for his towel.

I backed away and put my arms out. "Woah. Calm down there, buddy."

He turned to walk away. "Your loss." He shouted out before turning the corner to his room.

I grumbled an incoherent response and went to sit down on the couch. I texted Violet who still didn't respond.

A few minutes later, Damien came out in black jeans and a dark grey collared long-sleeve button-up shirt. Why was he dressed so fancy?

He looked at me and went back through the hallway. About 2 minutes later, he came back with something red in his hands.

"Put this on." He threw it at me. I caught it and found it to be a long red dress with white polka dots.

"What? Why?" I asked.

He ignored me and went through some drawers in the kitchen and pulled out two pairs of sunglasses. Then he went over to the coat closet and pulled out a pair of black heels.

"And this too." He handed it to me.

"Why?"

"Just go. I'll explain in the car." He pointed to Violet's room and went back to searching for something else.

I went to her room and shut the door. Where are we going? Why do I have to change?

I slipped my clothes off and put on the dress. It was a wrap-around dress that had a deep neck in the front. It also had a big slit down the left thigh. I then put on the black heels that were a little tight, but it was fine. I took a look at myself in the mirror and then walked out of the room.

Damien was waiting near the front door, looking at his phone. He looked me up and down, and grinned. "Come on. Let's go."

"Where are we going, first?" I crossed my arms in front of me and stood still.

"I told you. I'll explain in the car. Now come on." He opened the door for me and I walked out.

We got into the car and Damien put it in reverse. He put his arm behind my seat and looked behind the car. Holy guacamole. Then he quickly turned the steering wheel back to its original position with one hand. Shit.

"So now are you going to tell me where you're taking me?" I asked.

He turned his head to me and grinned. "We're robbing a bank."
