I woke up the next morning in a bed I was not familiar with. The room was white with purple accents, and there were posters of singers all over the walls. To my right was a huge window, but the curtains were closed. In front of me, there were two doors. To my left, there was a desk and another door. I saw a photo wall above the desk.I'm in Violet's room. Oh, God. I fell asleep on Damien last night.
I had told Damien about my past last night. But, surprisingly, I don't regret it. It was easier than I thought to talk to him.
I saw my phone charging on the nightstand next to me and picked it up. 9 am! I shot up from the sleeping position. I couldn't miss the marketing program again.
I also saw a little bag next to my phone and a sticky note on top.
Toothbrush and toothpaste. -DA
I grabbed the bag and got out of bed and walked towards the two doors in front. I opened the one on the left and saw that it was a closet. I closed it and opened the one on the right, which was the bathroom.
After freshening up, I walked outside the room. Straight ahead, I saw another door that was closed. I guessed that was Damien's room. I turned to my left into the familiar hallway from yesterday.
As I exited the hallway, I turned towards the kitchen on my right. The sight I saw in front of me was eye-catching.
Damien was standing at the stove, with his back turned to me. He was only wearing light grey sweatpants, no shirt, and I could clearly see his back muscles. I wasn't sure how long I was staring, but it was a second too long.
Damien turned around, holding a pan. "Enjoying the view?" He smirked.
"No," I said a little too quickly while sitting down, and he chuckled.
The view from the front was even better. I could see his well-defined six-pack and his v-line very clearly. I knew he had tattoos, but I never got a good look at them. He had a few lining his right arm and shoulder, and as I got closer I realized the biggest was two snakes and the words Scarlet Vipers surrounding it.
"You can always take a picture. Maybe make it your wallpaper." Damien sat down and put the two plates in front of us.
"Stop!" I smiled and playfully shoved his chest, my hand making contact with his abs.
Oh my fucking gosh!
I quickly pulled my arm away and looked down at my plate. From my peripheral view, I could tell Damien was enjoying how flustered I was.
"How'd you sleep?" He changed the subject.
"Good." I nodded.
"I hope you like pancakes."
They were chocolate chip pancakes, and each chip melted perfectly in my mouth. "Mmm. These are really good." I hadn't really had a good breakfast in a while. I usually heated up something frozen, bought something from outside, or skipped breakfast.
A few minutes later, he spoke up. "So, what are you up to today?" Damien asked before taking a bite of his pancakes.
I swallowed the food and spoke. "Oh. Can you drop me at home? I need to get ready for this program at NYU." I was about to take another bite, but I remembered. "Fuck."
"What?" Damien looked at me.
"My car was towed. I'll need to get an Uber." I sighed and took a sip from the glass of water.
"I can take you." Damien offered.
"Oh, no. It's fine. You have your...stuff to take care of."
Damien smiled. "You can say gang, Naya. It's not a bad word. And it's fine. I'm free today morning."
