"Damien. There better be a murderer running around the house if you're waking me up at this time." I groaned into the pillow.

"Come on, beautiful." Damien pulled the blanket off me, exposing my bare legs as I was only wearing his shirt.

"It's cold!" I whined, trying to grab the blanket without opening my eyes.

"Belle, come on!"

"No!" I yelled.

"Fine. You leave me no choice." I felt his presence hovering over me and before I could process what was about to happen, he started tickling me.

"Damien! No! Stop! Please!" I said in between laughs, squirming around the bed.

"You have to get out of bed." He continued to tickle me.

"Ah! Fine!" I said and he stopped. I finally opened my eyes wide to see him smirking over me.

He pulled me off the bed. "We're going to the boxing gym."

"What? Why?" I rubbed my eyes.

"Because darling, you said you wanted to learn how to fight." He grinned.

I looked at the time. "AT 7 AM?"

"Be thankful I didn't wake you up earlier. Usually, I go at 6."

"Gee. Thank you so much for the extra hour of sleep." I said sarcastically.

He pushed me into the bathroom. "Go on. Get ready." I groaned and slammed the bathroom door. "I love you too, baby!"

"Shut up!" I yelled through the door.

10 minutes later, I was sitting on the couch. Well, more like laying on the couch and hugging a pillow. However, I would much rather be in the bed under the blanket because leggings and a crop top were not doing it.

"Let's go!" Damien said, jogging into the hallway wearing shorts and a muscle tank top. Damn. His muscles looking fine.

That's my man.

I got off the sofa and walked to the front door, before opening it and turned to Damien. "You better buy me food afterward." I pointed my finger at him.

"Whatever you want." He smiled.

We got to the boxing gym and there were only two other people there.

After stretching, we started basic self-defense. Damien taught me punches and blocks.

I threw a punch at his chest, but he grabbed it and turned me around, so my back was against him.

"You gotta be faster than that, darling." He whispered in my ear and let me go. His raspy voice sent a shudder through my body.

"Can't I just stick to the default self-defense move?" I asked.

"And what's that?"

"Kicking the guy where the sun doesn't shine." I smiled wide.

Damien laughed. "That doesn't always work, Belle. Most guys expect that. And if he is skilled enough, he can knock you down while you try that. Here. I'll show you." He grabbed my shoulders. "Pretend to knee me there. But be careful." He chuckled.

I lifted my knee, hovering near his crotch.

However, Damien used his leg and swooped it under my straight leg, knocking me down. I fell on the mat.

"OW!" I rubbed my head. "You couldn't have warned me?"

He knelt down in front of me. "What fun would that be?"
