NAYA POV
I ran into the bathroom and knelt down in front of the toilet, puking all my insides out. "Ughh. I feel terrible."
"I know, baby." Damien stood behind me, grabbing all my hair out of my face.
I threw up again. "God. This is such an unattractive way to wake up the morning after your boyfriend's birthday." I groaned.
"It's ok. Just let it all out." Damien rubbed my back.
I slowly stood up and made my way over to the sink. "I'm never drinking again."
He chuckled. "Sure, darling. I'll be in the kitchen." Damien walked out of the bathroom.
After brushing my teeth, I went over to the nightstand to grab my phone. I sat on the edge of the bed and checked my emails. At the top of my inbox, I saw something that immediately caught my eye.
Congratulations Ms.Naya Gardner! After reviewing your application and interview, we are delighted to offer you a job as an office assistant at the Prescott Publishing Company.
I read the other information, not realizing the huge smile on my face.
Please contact us within 3 weeks of the date the email was sent through the contact information listed below or stop by our office during our office hours to discuss further details. If you do not, we will, unfortunately, have to withdraw your offer.
Mr. Zachary Prescott
CEO of Prescott Publishing Company
I threw my phone on the bed and ran out of the room into the kitchen. Damien turned around from tending to something on the stove. I jumped onto him, wrapping my arms around his neck and buried my face in his shoulder, and he wrapped his arms around my waist. "I GOT IN! I GOT IN!"
"Got in what, Belle?" Damien chuckled.
I pulled away to get a better look at his face, but we still held onto each other. "Remember that book publishing company I applied to last month. Well, I GOT THE JOB!" I beamed a huge smile at him.
Damien grinned. "I'm so proud of you!" He lifted me up and spun me around, getting a laugh out of me. He slowly placed me down and leaned down to give me a kiss.
"Why are y'all yelling?" Violet walked into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes. She looked exhausted with her hair everywhere and makeup from last night not washed.
I pulled away from Damien. "I got the job I was talking about!"
Her face instantly lit up. She came over to me and held my hands. "AHH! I'm so proud of you!" Both of us jumped up and down.
"Violet, you might want to go wash up before we eat. You're looking a little..." Damien circled a finger around his face and awkwardly smiled.
Violet made a face at him and walked back to her room. Damien placed three plates of waffles on the island. I sat down at my normal seat and Damien sat next to me.
"So, what are you doing today?" I asked before taking a bite of the food.
"I have to go down to the cage because we have a mission tonight. You want to come? We could use your map expertise." He smirked.
I laughed. "I was thinking of stopping by the office first. I think it gives a better impression if I go in person than email them. But, I'll come by the cage afterward. Can you just drop me on your way?"
"Of course."

I walked out of the office building, happy as could be. They said I could start next Monday and that I could stop by later this week if I wanted to check out of my little desk. Obviously, I didn't have a huge job, but it was still something. I would sort files and mail things and help with ads and stuff.
