"Towards an Alchemy of Words"
it's hubris, to be sure,
at best a made up science,
at worst a lover's lie,
a con-man's tell,
a legacy of fools
that these leaden words,
arranged just so within their crucible,
can gain the gleam of gold.

Every title has a poem buried there between its words. I thought it was high time this book had a proper piece of poesy to help put it in its place. Nothing too fancy or far-reaching — just a little self-deprecating flourish to help make a humble house a home.
