"cyclical wonder"
sunset paints its rosy hues
on clouds, still etched with gray.
their steely cotton tapestry
creates an intensely really landscape
of rugged, puffy mountains
that fit strangely
with the rows of fallen wheat.
slowly the sun hides
behind its cloud facade.
stars shyly peek through
our atmospheric haze
and i stay to watch this new wonder.
the northern lights glow
an eerie, yet comforting, green.
the nebulae drift on solar winds
that seem just beyond my grasp.
along the far horizon
that black gives way to blue.
daylight still lies far away
but dawn now fast approaches.
sunrise paints its rosy hues
on clouds, soon etched with gray.
