"Eyeballs on the Dresser"
Vision, static as in effigy,
glass eyes silent
upon your dresser.
A single graphite pupil stares at me,
reflected in a mirror,
while another watches
the dusty diamond motes
as they pass through light
like a saw.
You know they scare me
so you leave them there
and wear your sunglasses instead.
