"she wrote a poem"
She didn't realize it, but she
wrote a poem
that jolted me from
where I sat in the midst of
a conversation, a
thought, a pondering of
roman civilization
Veni
Vidi
Vici
she talked of "paisleigh"
and spelt it wrong while I looked
in the dictionary, my eye
entangled by the entry
sovereignty
association;
two words the same length, joined forever
in what professionals may call
politics
but I call it a
paradox,
a contradiction
I didn't realize it, but she
wrote a poem.
