"Come on, come on," I mumbled repeatedly to myself.

I kneeled close to the water and closed my eyes. I held my hands directly above the water, trying to see if I could feel something, anything.

"Are you sure she's the one?" Hex whispered to Renaldo.

"I'm positive," he replied to her.

I cleared my mind completely. It had to be one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I had so much on my mind but I had to let it all go for a spare moment. I had to take 10 seconds to have a break and catch my breath.

I began feeling the waves of the river, flowing like a floating feather in the air. My fingers tickled to the rhythm of the water, I felt in control.

"Alright little mermaid," Renaldo joked as he came prancing over to me. "What's going on?"

"I-I can feel him," I replied. "In the water, it's like an awkward energy just sitting there."

"Get him out," Renaldo demanded.

"I can't," I replied. "He's in too deep."

"She's right," one of the Nomeds agreed. "He has to be far down, I mean we couldn't find him anywhere.

Renaldo came up behind me and started grabbing onto my hands. "The longer you take, the more he suffers. Just because he's a werewolf doesn't make him have gills," he teased.

As much as I hated to admit it, Renaldo was right. Keith was dying under there, I had to do something.

I began taking off my next layer of clothing and heading into the river.

"What is she doing?" Hex complained.

"Wait a second," Renaldo told her. "Let her do what she needs to do."

My powers were working, I couldn't believe it. I could feel it re-emerging from the inside out. I just thought about what I wanted to do, and I did it. I wanted to separate the river, exposing Keith and so I did.

The ground began shaking. The Nomeds began backing as far away from the river as they could. The water trembled slowly before it became still, frozen.

"What is she doing?" Hex questioned.

"Be quiet!" Renaldo demanded.

Everything was quiet, for only a split second before the chaos started. The wind was howling like never before, creating a tornado-like storm around me and the river.

I stuck both of my hands into the water. I had control of it. I could feel the force of the water connecting through my palms. I began separating the water slowly. It was so heavy, like pulling a weight.

"It is her..." one of the Nomeds whispered to the other.

I felt so powerful so strong. The water felt like it was stretching but building my muscles at the same time. It was sort of painful, but it felt good.

I closed my eyes and opened them back up to see what looked like Keith laying at the bottom of the river. The river had separated in half, exposing him.

"Grab him!" Renaldo shouted happily.

It was too late, because Keith had suddenly disappeared.

"Where did he go?" The Nomeds wondered.

"What did you do?" Hex shouted as she ran over to harm me. Renaldo quickly grabbed her and pulled her back. "She is not to be harmed!" He told her.

"I-I didn't do anything," I stuttered.

Keith flew into the air out of nowhere, heading straight for Hex's head. He was in the beginning stages of transforming into a werewolf. His eyes were bright blue and his teeth were sharp like needles.
