The next morning
I guess you could say that everything from last night went well. No one died, and by no one I mean Jack. No ones cover got blown and everyone made it back in one piece. The hooded figure never even showed up, we didn't hear not a peep from him.
It was so weird being back here. It seemed so... normal, like this was where I belonged. I saw Nina, Dobrei, and Zach again, they told me about how much fun they had running a muck through the place. Chloe was still here and so were all of the guardians, everything felt good. The school, the school was more beautiful than ever, it reminded me so much of The Hogwarts. I mean when we pulled up to the school last night, I could hardly recognize it and it's not even finished yet. It was just amazing.
Nico wasn't sick, no one was dead, or injured, and most importantly... no one was fighting. For the most part...
"So what's next?" Melanie asked as her and Louis sat normally in the meeting room like nothing ever happened and like they were never gone for days.
"Yeah," Louis replied. "I'm kind of sad I missed out on all of the action."
"Maybe don't run away with your sister next time like a little b-"
"Hey!" Nico interrupted Tim. "Everyone has apologized and we've all moved on from everything that happened. Right?"
Everyone looked around the room at one another before we all agreed.
"Right..."
"Good, so now we can move on to what's important."
"Which is?" Keith asked as he walked into the room late.
"Come on in and join us why don't you," Pete sassed Keith.
"Everyone has been assigned to what position and class they're in charge of so it's time that we step up to the plate. We are in charge of this school and this place now, we are the protectors of these kids and it's time that we take this seriously and start acting like it. We have a lot of work to do, aside from figuring out what's going on with Amilia."
"Do you have any new leads?" Pete asked.
"Yes, we have a total of 1,320 leads..."
"Whew!"
"Wow!"
"That's amazing!"
A few of us had different reactions in the room. It's safe to say that not everyone in the room was happy.
"So what, we're gonna just go knocking on every Supernatural's door until someone tells us what they know?" Melanie complained.
"Melanie don't start!" Pete growled.
"She's right," Robert agreed. "I mean, I don't wanna be the bad guy here but I also don't want to be the only thinking person in this room. What if we knock on the wrong person's door? Someone who's looking for trouble?"
"Yeah, I mean you knock on the Devil's door long enough... somebody is gonna answer," Keith agreed.
"You too?" I asked him.
"Amilia, I'm just stating the obvious! Don't be mad at me for using my brain!" Keith exclaimed.
"She's not mad at you, she's just asking you a simple question," Pete protected me.
"Yeah well she asks too many questions," Melanie mumbled.
"More like the wrong questions," Robert chimed in.
"Oh fuck off," I mumbled.
"Okay, everybody stop!" Nico demanded. "We are gonna do whatever it takes to figure out what exactly it is that Amilia has that everyone wants! I don't give a damn if we have to walk through fire and drown in a damn ocean, we'll do it if we have to because that is who we are! That is what we are here to do!"
"Now if you're not willing to do that, if you're too afraid and too scary to lay your life on the line for the girl who's willing to lay hers on the line to save the world, let alone us... then so be it! You can get your lazy asses off those chairs and leave this room and never come back for all I care!"
No one moved a muscle, everyone was silent.
"But if you're willing to fight for what we are, if you're willing to fight for your friends and family, for your parents! If you're willing to stay and fight for what we believe in then shut the hell up and let's do this shit! If not, then you can leave right here and right now!"
Everyone sat there awkwardly, I knew Melanie wanted to speak up but her and her brother had nowhere to run to. Robert also wanted to speak up, but he just stayed silent.
"Now I don't know about you guys..." Blue said as he got up and stood by me. "But I'm team Amilia..."
"Me too," Speedo agreed.
"Me three," Tim joined in.
"Count me in!" Louis said excitingly.
"Me too," Briggs joined.
"You know I am!" Avery hugged me.
"I guess..." Robert sighed.
"That's a no brainer for me," Pete kissed me.
"You know you can count me and my brother in," Mike stated.
Everyone then stared at Melanie.
"Fine!" she grunted. "But if I die because of you, I will haunt you forever!"
The only person that was left was Keith. He sat there in his chair, looking elsewhere.
"Keith..." Pete called out.
"Look," Keith replied. "I know it's team 'let's save Amilia so that we can save the supernatural world' and all, but we don't even know what we're fighting for... I mean, Amilia was perfectly fine before she got exposed to all of this and now look..."
"Keith, I'm fine," I replied. "I can do this..."
"Sure you can... Until someone you love dies and you start turning into Wednesday from the Adams Family."
"Keith..." Pete warned.
"Fine!" Keith gave in. "You know I'm gonna always be there to catch you when you fall."
"Thanks Keith," I replied.
"Anyone else wanna get anything off of their chest?" Nico asked. "Speak now or forever hold your piece..."
No one said a word.
"Great," Nico replied. Everyone returned to their seats and began getting excited.
Nico turned on the projector screen and began to play a slideshow.
"Let's start with where it all began... Elite incorporations..."
