"Stupid crab, he needed to claw you in order to get where he wanted instead of letting you help him get where he needed." a random voice said behind me.

"Come again?' I replied while looking at my snipped finger. I then began looking up watching a man walk towards me but I couldn't quite see who he was or what he looked like.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be weird or anything. I just couldn't help but observe your situation from afar." The man said as he walked over to me.

"You see the male crab isn't usually the feisty one, it's usually the female that snips ya." He continued.

As the man got closer to me, I still didn't have a complete clear view of what he looked like. He had black shades on that somehow perfectly matched his slick back hair. He was white but he almost looked Italian or maybe even Dominican or French. It was so strange... the whole situation felt out of this world. Was I tripping out? Or have I got lost in my dreams from falling asleep at work again? I had no clue what or who he was or why I couldn't clearly see his face even though he was right in front of me, but I knew one thing for sure. He was speaking clear English and he was the prettiest man I've ever laid eyes on.

"Ooohhh, yes I see." I replied.

"You're one of those...men are never wrong guys aren't you."

"Me?" He said while staring mysteriously into the ocean.

"Ha, no not at all sweetheart," He continued as he removed his shades. "I'm one of those...men are always misunderstood type of guys."

We then both stared at each other deeply in the eyes. I noticed his eyes were a mysterious pitch black color. There was not one hint of brown anywhere and It was kind of scary. Our silence then quickly got interrupted by an alarm going off from my wrist watch.

He then scrounged in his pockets pulling out several cell phones and strange looking pagers as if the ringing sound came from him.

"Oh sorry that's me ringing."

 "I mean my wrist."

"My watch...my wrist watch is making noise." I stuttered.

"Your alarm?" He corrected.

"Yes, Ha! That thing '' I replied awkwardly.

"I'm sorry, I've got to go. It was nice talking to you."

Feeling stupid, I quickly grabbed my things and scurried off to the boardwalk.

"That guy was strange but kind of cute," I said to myself.

As I started walking I started to feel a slight burning sensation on my feet.

"Shit I forgot my-"

"Shoes?" The man said standing right behind me, finishing off my sentence.

"Ah! You scared me" I yelled.

 "How did you..?" I stuttered.

"Oh I move pretty quickly it's the flat foot curse." He scoffed weirdly.

"The flat foot what?" I asked.

"Well" He interrupted. "Are you going to put your shoes on?"

"Oh yeah, silly me!" "I'm sorry."

"Why do you keep apologizing?" he asked

"I apologized to you before now?

"Yes you did, about three times now." he laughed

"Ugh yeah I do that sometimes I'm sorry. I mean I apologize, I mean..."

"Here don't worry about it love, just at least let me help you put your shoes on."

As he bent down and grabbed my foot he said "This might sound strange, but you have the most prettiest toes I've ever seen."

"Who me?" I quickly shouted.

"Ew no, don't do that..." I said, pulling my feet away.

"What? They're like little sausages." He laughed.

"Alright sir, are you going to have a make out session with my feet? Or are you going to- OW!" I yelled.

"Why did you shove it in so hard?" I shouted.

"Sorry love, I can't hear you from down here." he yelled up at me.

"Ha.. real cute now can you put the other shoe on so I can go on about my day please?" I replied.

"Well excuse me," he said as he then stood up to face me.

"I'm sorry, but I am not the one that decided to walk off of the beach onto hot burning wood in 90 degree weather without shoes on." He said sarcastically.

"Fine then!" I said, snatching my other shoe out of his hand and shoving it on my foot. "Thanks for all of your help but I can take it from here," I said as I limped away.

"Wait where are you going?" he yelled behind me.

"Home!" I replied.
