"Rule number 3?" Keith said slowly.

"Don't break rule number one or rule number two." He then backed away from me and pushed my chair away.

When I opened my eyes I turned around to look in the doorway for Pete and Pete was never there and the incident between me and Keith never happened.

"Hello? Can anybody hear me?" Keith shouted through the emergency phone.

"Main street police how can we assist?"

"Hey, we're out of power down here on fourth and we have several gang members from Gotham on the loose including the one we just recently lost about 30 minutes ago. We have maybe 100 civilians outside that will not leave even with all of our men out there. Back up could be very essential right now."

"I will dispatch some officers to your location along with our general and S.W.A.T"

Keith then slammed the phone on the hook. "Thanks"

"Why do you have to be such an asshole." I whispered.

Keith then glared at me and picked up the phone to call the others.

"I still have to use the bathroom you know." I mumbled.

"Did I say you could talk? I don't think I said you could speak." Keith shouted.

"Well I have to-"

"Hold it!" he yelled.

"How can I ask for permission to speak if I can't speak?" I asked.

"It's simple.. You just don't."

"How does that thing work anyways?" I asked while approaching him.

"Do my rules just not mean anything to you?"

"No, they really don't. Now can you please answer my question."

"It's a police phone. It can only send out call signals to other police station emergency phones so that way, whatever danger we're in, it'll be private danger if that makes sense."

"Okay so how are you going to reach Pete and the others if your walkie talkies are full of static?"

"This phone also has connections to every floor level in this building. We are all trained to know the positions of the phones in case of crazy shitt happening like this. I mean like really, how could this even happen? We finally arrest Gotham, they break out of jail only to have one member left behind who just disappears. And then.. The lights go out? Which makes it extremely hard to find serial killers and thugs on the run and to top it off we can't even leave because the news reporters and paparazzi are outside blocking our only two ways out of here. Plus almost all of our men and women are out there trying to handle the situation."

"Wow your life must be so hard." I said while rolling my eyes.

Keith then quickly snatched me by my arm "You know what? Sit down and stop freaking talking!" He then threw me back onto my chair.

"No! You are not the boss of me." I whispered.

"I'm sick of you , and I'm sick of this whole city. I just wish I never came here. I should've stayed in Hawaii where I went to school and I had a good job. Life was good..." I said slowly.

"Despite your parents dying?" Keith asked.

"Yeah.."I said.

"Sorry to hear that... I heard you parents were very wealthy, so did you get ..-"

"Get what?" I said as I jumped out of my chair. "Their fucking money?"

"No, I .. I, I didn't mean it like that." Keith stuttered.
