Chapter 12 : The End Of The Beginning

"You nervous?" Speedo asked me.

"No..."

"Tell the truth!" He demanded.

"I swear, I'm not. I'm just... afraid..."

"Afraid of what?" He asked me.

"Of everyone getting hurt because of me, or worse," I told him.

"We owe you Amilia. None of this will ever be your fault. We will all lay our lives down on the line for you if we have to."

"But why?" I questioned. "Why are you all so willing to risk your lives for me!"

"Amilia, I haven't been honest with you..." Speedo admitted quietly as he looked up at the men in black driving us to the Elite Estate. The men in black were here for extra help, just a precaution.

"What do you mean?"

"The reason why everyone is willing to put their lives on the line for you is because you did it for us. You saved all of us Amilia."

"What?" I was confused, as usual.

"I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now... but I could never muster up the courage to do so. Do you remember when you asked me about the thing that saved my life along with Nico and the others?"

"Yes," I remembered.

"Well that thing that saved us... was you. Your blood healed us all Amilia. Elite used you to create us, bring us back to life, you gave us our powers. Whatever you had running through your veins had the power to fix all. Once your parents took you away, it was game over for Elite."

"They ran their whole company based off of you."

I was speechless like someone had knocked the breath completely out of my lungs. I had nothing to say, I could do nothing but let it all sink in.

We pulled up to the estate and it looked like its very own neighborhood. The men in black dropped us off at the front of the mansion, so me and Speedo walked right up to the front doors hand in hand, arm and arm.

"We're going in," Speedo told the guys through his earpiece.

"Name?" One of the Elite guards asked as we approached them.

"My name is Angel and this is my date John," I replied.

The guards looked at us meanly. They thought we looked suspicious and they were right.

They suddenly got a call on their cell phone that said to let us in and so they did.

The Estate was beautiful, I mean it looked like a rich person's paradise.
