Chapter 32

"It's time to wake up now" someone gently said, lightly tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. You slowly began to come to and opened your eyes. Beautiful black eyes met yours and you couldn't stop the smile that crept onto your face. "You always look so pretty when you first wake up" Itachi said running his thumb across your lips.

Remembering the incident in the cave you shot up and frantically looked around. You were no longer in the cave and you didn't know where you were now, but it oddly seemed familiar. Something was telling you, you had been here before, but you couldn't place when.

"Where are we?" you asked.

"This is the home I got for all of us" he said lightly placing his hand on your belly.

"Have I been here before?" you asked looking into his eyes for answers.

"Not exactly..... In the woods I put you into a genjutsu and made you dream of this place" he looked down at the ground as he talked.

"You promised to never use that one me" you said scooting out of his reach.

"I know, but I had to. You wouldn't come with me willingly, and I couldn't tell Kisame what was going on." He tried explaining.

"You are right, I wouldn't have come willingly. I also won't stay willingly, my life is back in Konoha and I want to go home." You stated crossing your arms over your chest.

He swiftly moved, gently pinning you down on the couch. "Please just give in to me" he whispered in your ear. "Just submit to my love. I promise to be a good father and I'll come here as often as I can, just stay with me" he said nuzzling into your neck.

"It was years until I saw you after you left, what makes this any different. You didn't come back for me then, so why now?" you asked trying to hold back tears.

"I told you, I did come back often. I just couldn't bring you with me and I didn't want to hurt you by seeing you." He explained pulling back to look you in the eyes.

"You know he won't stop looking for me" you said looking back into his eyes. His eye slightly twinged and you knew you had struck a nerve. The thought of Kakashi out there actively looking for you did worry Itachi but he wouldn't admit to it.

"Let him try, you'll be so happy with me it won't matter if he finds you. You were my first love, and you will be my last" He said with a smile.

"That's pretty easy for a dying man to say" you said rolling your eyes.

"Lets not talk about that now, instead let me show you how much I've missed you baby crow" He stood up and picked you up bridal style and started carrying you to a different room.

"You say you missed me, but you left me with a crazy shark man!" You said annoyed.

"Please stop being so mad at me, I really am sorry." He pleaded looking down at you. His eyes held a lot of sincerity and you hated to admit it, but you couldn't stay mad at him.

"Fine" you huffed out, crossing your arms again. He chuckled to himself and carried you into the bedroom. It was simply decorated with lots of plants, pillows and books. It was perfectly cozy and you could see the effort he had put into it. He placed you down on the bed and went around to the opposite side, crawling in next to you.

"Do you like it?" he asked.

"It's very nice and cozy, thank you" you said flashing him a genuine smile.

"Later I'll show you the rest of the house, the babies will have their own room." He ran his fingers across your stomach.

"That's very sweet, wait..... did you say babies? Like more than one?" you asked.

"Yes? Did you not know?" He asked.

"Know what? That you want more kids?

"No that its twins" he said placing his palm flat on your stomach.

"Tw-twins? Like in me? Right now?" you asked starting to feel sick.

"Yes, I didn't notice it when I first found out, but when I used my sharingan in the woods I noticed two separate chakra systems outside of your own." He explained.

"Twins......" you looked down at your stomach, absorbing the information you had just been given.

"Does that make you happy?" he asked cuddling up next to you.

"I don't know yet, I hadn't really gotten my mind around having one kid and now there are two." You explained.

"You will come to accept it, I promise" He said flashing you a quick smile.

"I appreciate all the things you've done for me here Itachi" you rolled on to your side facing him.

"Why do I feel there is a but coming" he sighed.

"But.... I can't stay here, I don't know much about pregnancy, but I know I need to go to the DR often, how can I do that when I'm trapped out here alone?" you asked.

"Don't call it being trapped, you love me, I love you, and I made this home for us, its not a trap. And don't worry about a DR ill bring one to you." he grumpily rolled over on to his back staring at the ceiling.

"You say that, but how will you be able to trust anyone that you bring here? Word could easily get out about our location, and like I told you, they will be looking for me." You tried reasoning with him.

"I already have someone in mind, he can't really be trusted but he is against the leaf also." He said the last part almost too quiet to hear.

"Who is it that you are talking about?" you sat up crossing your legs, looking down at him.

He turned towards you, eyes having a light glow of red "I can tell you already have an idea, so why even ask?" his tone was serious.

"Say it" you dared him.

"Orochimaru" he said, his face was void of emotion, but his eyes showed he didn't like where this conversation was headed.

"That man is not a DR, he is a crazy scientist! He made a mess of our village not that long ago and tried to take your brother!" you said with a raised voice.

"I don't want to talk about this anymore" he swiftly got out of the bed and made his way to the door "I'm going to go get some supplies, don't go into the trees, I have several hidden defenses and don't want you hurt" the words he said sounded like a warning but his tone made it seem like a threat.

"What was that about not being trapped?" you said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes, shutting the door behind him.

You waited 10 minutes to be sure he was gone and quickly made your way outside to the tree line. You didn't know if these "defenses" were real or if it was just a tactic, but you couldn't risk it. The house sat in the center of a small open area, the trees surrounded it in a perfect circle. You walked as close to the trees as possible slowly walking the full circle. There were no obvious traps that you could see, but Itachi wouldn't make them easy to find.

You found some small rocks on the ground at the base of a tree and picked them up, one by one you chunked them randomly into the forest. Nothing happened as you tossed the first few, taking a few more steps you tossed another one and an explosion went off, knocking you on to your butt.

"Ouch" you stood up and dusted the dirt from your bottom. "Great now what" you thought out loud. If the ground wasn't safe, that meant the treetops probably were not as well. Now the question was, how were you going to escape and get back to your village.

*So i hope my fellow Itachi lovers arnt mad that im making him into a bit of a bad guy. Ive gotta slowly set up the next big part in the story and this is the route its gotta take.
