My Sensei or the guy nextdoor (Kakashi)

Chapter 11

Having arrived at the training field you jumped up into your favorite tree and awaited the rest of the team. Surprisingly the group showed up on time, even Sensei which has never happened before.

"Gather up team I've got some news" there was something off in Kakashi's tone. You quickly got down from the tree to join the team.

"I've just come from talking to Lord Hokage,  we have been assigned a mission. A S rank mission. Normally Genin would never be put on a S rank mission but it's a time sensitive mission. We will be leaving at daylight tomorrow and it's not going to be a short trip so be prepared.  Now abouy training for today I am giving you all the day off, I suggest you use this time to rest and make sure you have all the gear you need."

"So what is the mission exactly Kakashi Sensei?" Sakura asked.

"We are to infiltrate the land of earth and meet with one of our informants who has news about the Akatsuki." He stated bluntly. All of us stood frozen in shock and fear.

"There is no way we are ready for a mission like this. We have really only been a team for a few short months, and were expected to sneak into a land that peace is very fragile with due to the second shinobi war? There has got to be a team or anyone more qualified than us." You couldn't help but voice your fears.

Kakashi's stance softened as he listened to your concerns.

"I know this is crazy, but the information is time sensitive and the next team wont be back for several days. I fully believe in this team, you are all more skilled than you believe. Now go on and enjoy your day off and I will see all of you in the morning." He said dismissing the team. You stayed back with Kakashi as the team headed back.

Walking over to Kakashi you rested your forehead against his chest, breathing in his delicious smell. He gently held the back of your head, lightly twirling a strand of your hair.

"I'm not ready for this" muffled by his chest it was hard to understand what you said.

He gently sighed. "I know. I'm not ready either." He leaned down kissing the top of your head. "Do you want to spend the day with me?"

"Yes please" you said snuggling more into his chest.

He lightly chuckled. "Okay good. I need to go to the bookstore, pickup some gear, and then we can have lunch, sound good?"

"Sounds great!"

Stopping at the bookstore first you found a couple of novels about great shinobi of the past. Kakashi of course grabbed a new copy of icha icha paradise, his obsession with those books would never be understood. Next you stopped at the Higurashi weapon shop where both of you stocked up on kunai, shuriken and the paper used for paper bombs.

"I've got everything I need now, are you ready for lunch?" He gave an adorable eyes closed smile.

"You up for some bbq pork?" You said, mouth already watering.

"Yakiniku Q it is!" He headed in the direction of the restaurant. You both slide in a booth and place your order.

"So Lotus I have a question for you. For the next week or so when we are on this mission itll be hard to not be intimate with you. We need to both be on guard and focus on the mission. So my question is, can I stay with you tonight? I just want to be able to hold you and be with you." His question made your heart race and palms sweat.

"I-I would be okay with that." You blushed turning away to hide your very red cheeks.

*short time skip*

With full stomachs you both left the restaurant.

"I've got to get a few things from my house for the trip and I need to pack some gear, I'll meet you at your house later?" He asked.
