Strolling through town with the boys and Genma really did relax you, it was just peaceful and easy. He kept the banter light and funny as he tried to cheer you and it made his heart flutter when you would smile or laugh. Seeing the way he looked at you would do the same thing, he had a way of making the world fade away, the stares of the villagers who judged your relationship, the fear of constant attacks, all of it just dissipated like fog when looking into his eyes.
He lead the way to one of the smaller restaurants and you all piled into a booth an ordered food. The boys were usually really good when it came to not making a mess so you were actually able to enjoy eating even though they stole your attention often.
"Mommy" Sakaki said extending his fork to you with a single grain of rice on it. You happily leaned in and ate the food he offered which made him snuggle into your arm as he continued to feed himself. Yuki tried to do the same thing to Genma but instead dropped a large bit of food into his lap making everyone laugh.

When breakfast was over you walked the short trip back to the house, the boys ran off to play as soon as their feet hit the ground. You walked over and dropped onto the couch laying down with a happy sigh.
"Got room for me?" Genma asked looking down at you. You patted your chest and he didn't hesitate to take you up on the offer. His hand gripped your ankle and separated your legs and he crawled in between them, he adjusted himself until his head was laid on your chest also releasing a happy sigh.
"This was a bad idea, I'm way too full" you laughed slightly out of breath. He chuckled and adjusted onto his elbows so he could look you in the eyes and remove some of his weight from you.
"I've got a better idea" he smirked. With a quick few adjustments he had moved behind you, both now laying on your sides, his arm wrapped over your waist securely holding you against him.
"This is much better" you teased gently wiggling back against him.
"Mmmm Princess you better stop" he chuckled.
"My bad, couldn't help myself" you laughed and then relaxed into his hold.
"So is this the plan for the rest of the day?" he asked nuzzling into your hair "Because I wouldn't mind it" he explained.
"Oh so the offer earlier was just a lie?" you teased.
"No of course no, I'm just enjoying this" he chuckled.
"It is pretty nice but I think it would be more fun to just take a nap and go on that picnic you mentioned" you said closing your eyes.
"Sounds like a plan Princess" he said also sounding sleepy.
You could feel sleep taking you in its grasp when a very small hand gripped your nose gently. Opening your eyes you were met with Sakaki's beautiful dark orbs, his eyes looking tired as well.
