~~~~~~~~~~~~Chapter 6~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cassandra and Varian sat exhausted on Varian's bed.
Adira and Quirin were confused as
the three said they shouldn't go to this town. Now the two sat outside and drove the trailer.
Cassandra was silent and Varian didn't even look at her because he was busy with a book.
Kind of funny, Cassandra thought to herself.
On her trip with Rapunzel, there were two games every a week.
Truth or dare and a game that Rapunzel invented.
It was about feelings and stuff so that you don't feel constricted.
However, Cassandra always lost.
But here it was the exact opposite.
Everyone was calm and nobody cared about anything.
Now it was handed to Cassandra and she took the book from Varian.
"Hey!" He shouted angrily.
"Varian! What's wrong with you?!"
"What? I read and the book is very exciting..."
She angrily handed the book back to him.
"It seems to me that this book is more important to you than me."
With an annoyed growl, she got up and left the room.
Hector was standing at the kitchen counter, pouring water into a glass.
But then Cassandra came and knocked it aside, so that it fell on the floor and broke.
"Cassandra!" Hector shouted angrily.
But already he was hugged by her.
She was crying into his shirt and he just looked at her in confusion.
What kind of action was that from her again?!
He leaned back but didn't hold onto her.
"Cassandra ..." he whispered.
"You know you have to clean up the glass?"
"You're heartless!" She exclaimed annoyed and he started to laugh.
"What now? Don't act like a baby."
"Baby?" Cassandra asked as if she remembered something.
"The babies!" She exclaimed in shock.
A short time later they were sitting with the bearcat children, their parents and some bowls of milk on the floor of their room.
Cassandra picked up the bearcat she called poodle and held it close to her face.
"Don't tell your siblings, but you are my favorite poodle.", She whispered.
Annoyed, Hector called: "You're annoying."
Now she held poodle directly in his face and shouted: "But how can such a cute thing annoy you?"
He took the bearcat from her and set it on the floor.
"I wasn't talking about her," he said as he leaned over so she had to lean against the closet.
"It's a he."
"Whatever little rat."
She looked at him annoyed.
Was he demonstrating his size again?
But that's where Varian came in.
Their faces were hidden by the closet door.
"Cassandra, I wanted to say-"
But then he saw the two of them.
They immediately stood up and looked at him flushed.
"It's not what it looked like!" Cassandra exclaimed, shocked.
"I wanted... I- I- I hate you Cassandra!"
He slammed the door and ran away.
Cassandra looked at the locked door with wide eyes.
I hate you Cassandra
I hate you Cassandra
I hate you Cassandra
That sentence got stuck in her head like a melody.
A very sad and melancholy melody.
A tear flowed down her cheek and Hector looked at her in shock.
"Cassandra he... Varian didn't mean that seriously. He loves you."
"No, Hector. Did you- weren't you listening..."
She didn't stop staring at the door.
"He hates me... He hates me..."
She fell on her knees.
"He... doesn't need me anymore..."
When they got to a port, they hid the babies in the closet again and went out.
Owl flew directly onto Cassandra's shoulder and she stroked his forehead.
It was a beach and behind it a small forest.
Varian stood by with his arms crossed while Adira and Quirin began to rearrange the trailer.
Cassandra noticed some palm trees.
"Hey Varian! Would you like some coconut milk?"
He just shrugged his arms and immediately looked away.
She bit her lip and looked nervously to the side.
But then she shouted: "Take good care of Varian!"
She ran, threw her sword against the trunk, jumped on top of it, and somersaulted down a coconut.
Hector looked impressed while Varian looked away in annoyance.
"You three could help us!", Adira shouted annoyed.
Cassandra ran past them and handed the coconut to Varian.
"I'm not feeling well ... I ... I need a break."
Without further ado, she ran into the forest.
"Cassandra!" Hector shouted in shock and grabbed Varian's wrist so that he dropped the coconut.
The two ran directly after her.
"Just so you don't have to work.", Adira called angrily afterwards.
Cassandra quickly noticed that they were following her.
She looked back and ran faster.
So she didn't notice how she ran into a tree trunk.
"Argh..."
She grabbed the bumped shoulder that was now painful.
But already Hector and Varian caught up with her.
Hector let go of him and helped Cassandra up.
"Are you all right?"
"Yes everything is okay."
Varian crossed his arms and looked away in annoyance.
"Hey you idiot, what's wrong with you?!"
He shoved Varian back by his chest.
"Hector!" Cassandra called angrily.
"There's nothing wrong with me! But you seem to be interested in Cassandra all of a sudden, aren't you?"
"Are you crazy?!"
Cassandra noticed how a small flower next to them quickly withered and the roots of the tree spread and grew larger.
"Um guys ..."
"Are you jealous of me spending so much time with Cassandra?"
"What do you think Hector?! I give everything to her-"
"Guys!" Cassandra exclaimed angrily.
But when they finally responded, the ground began to shake.
The roots jumped out of the earth and created a kind of prison.
Suddenly the ground collapsed and everyone appeared alone in a kind of cave.
How was that possible?!
They were just united after all!
