"Cassandra!" Someone called after her.
She felt like she was... drowning... Something grabbed her ankle and pulled her deeper into the sea until she couldn't breathe.
"Cassandra!"
Suddenly her eyes popped open and she realized...
She was lying in bed, snuggled deep into her bedspread but immediately noticed Hector and Varian's heads above her.
She was slightly startled but then Hector called: "Cassandra, Rapunzel is calling for you for the third time!"
"Wait, really?!", She shouted shocked and immediately jumped out of bed.
She wore a long white dress in which she stumbled as soon as she ran off.
"Whoa, I guess I woke up clumsy." she said with a laugh.
"Cassandra." Hector began.
"Yes?"
Then he and Varian shouted at the same time: "Go on!"
"Of course!" She called and hurried to the door.
But when she opened it she ran directly into Rapunzel's hands.
She giggled and said, "Hey, there's my princess. Come on quickly."
She grabbed her hand and started walking.
"Wait Rapunzel! I haven't changed yet!"
But the young queen ran on to her room.
"Sit down!" She said as she put her on her bed.
"Rapunzel what..."
She took a bandage and bandaged her burned hand.
She also gave her an ointment.
"Always take these in the evening and the burn will heal faster.
"Thank you Rapunzel."
"I can't believe you're leaving me again. But I'm so happy for you. Wait a minute!"
She handed her a book.
"What's this?"
She opened it and the pages were blank.
Except for the first.

She hugged her, so that they both fell laughing on the bed and lay side by side.

They hugged but then Eugene came in.
"Hey, can I bother you?" He asked.
The two girls sat up.
"Cassandra, since you are my sister... I have a present for you."
He took out a sword from behind his back.
"Isn't that..."
"That is the captain's sword."
"But Eugene... you are the captain and I..."
But suddenly he took her in his arms and tears welled up in his eyes.
"I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too Fitzherbert! Wait a minute..."
"You are related to me Cassandra FITZHERBERT."
He emphasized the name very big and she just rolled her eyes.
But she smiled too.
"Thank you Eugene."
Then they heard a throat clearing and Varian stood at the door.
"Hector gets very angry if you don't go to him immediately."
She took the presents and stood up, confused.
"What's going on?"
He just shrugged.
"I have no idea. You should talk to him."
She made her way over to him with a raised eyebrow.
When she entered the room he was sitting exhausted on the bed.
Without looking at her he said: "That I was with Gothel and she just left me wasn't the only reason for..."
"What else?", She asked carefully as she sat down next to him.
"Isn't it obvious? I could have been your father if..."
Cassandra flushed.
"To be honest, I'm glad it's not you."
He looked at her confused.
"I mean- you'd be a terrible father!"
He started laughing and hugged her.
"Yes, Cassandra! You are so right."
"Well, I still have to change. But I'll be right there."
He nodded and left the room without another word.
She put on black equipment with a hood, a belt with the sign of the dark kingdom and also grabbed the sword which Eugene gave her to her belt.
She took the rest of her bag and then left the room.

"Now I'm going to travel without you again.", Cassandra said goodbye to Rapunzel at the exit.
A similar caravan stood behind them.
It was just gray with a black roof.
Not like Rapunzel's cheerful one.
"I already miss you and hope to see you again soon."
"Don't worry. I just have to do all the necessary tasks. And gently teach my father that I'm going."
"How? I already know.", Edmund said smiling as he came out from behind Rapunzel.
Cassandra started to stutter nervously: "Well, b-but, I actually meant..."
His smile faded and he became sad.
"Your adoptive father?"
"Yes..."
"It's okay, Cass. Oh and take Hamuel with you.", He said and the bird came flying, but it flew directly against the wall of the caravan and fell to the ground.
"Oh... um thanks."
"You don't notice it, but he could really be very helpful."
Cassandra smiled and hugged Edmund.
"Many thanks for everything."
She took his hands in hers and said, "That you have forgiven me and accepted me as a Queen."
"It was clearly the right decision," he said and gave her a kiss on the forehead.
"I already love you Cassandra. Be careful."
"I will."
But then Varian unexpectedly grabbed her hand and said, "M'Lady."
And kissed it.
But then his father called out from the front bench: "Varian!"
And he didn't sound very pleased.
Varian flushed and giggled nervously.
"We should go!"
Cassandra smiled and said: "Well, let's go on an adventure!"
